ebay ones are A2 stainless, the toolstation ones look cheap zinc plated, not even bright zinc so not the same product. Also presumably tool station charge for delivery on that :)

Small packs are going to cost more per unit :)

We could do with a few of those on this forum

to keep conversations on thread.

Couldn't (and still can't) see any mention of A2 SS on the listing when I view it on Android.

This one is something of a surprise, I know that there are not many 12” to the foot ones left but in model form the wouldn’t command so high a price I would think.

And no, it’s not the O gauge version.

A stupid price from a toy dealer.

We've had plenty of trainsets in the 'disappointment looming' category but this one comes with a hefty price and 'for spares or repairs only'.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trainset-layout-joblot/264154100773?hash=item3d80cfb425:g:KCwAAOSwAx9cRfVf:rk:1:pf:1&frcectupt=true

and also from the same optimist ..

Sadly I come across this quite a lot, OK it cost a lot of money 25 years ago but it's not worth much now. There are very few people who want steel track, and most of them want original Triang Super 4 .....

Now I know Hornby wheels have increased dramatically in price since they were introduced almost 20 years ago (at under £3), but this is ridiculous.

Hmm I've got an Athearn F7B body that needs a chassis....

Then I could give the unfortunate Mainline body the decent burial it deserves!

There is no mention of whether it works or not though and I doubt Pemco spares are widely available even in the States. A worldwide eBay search produced only a few freight cars and labels for sardines!

It went for over eighteen quid!  :O :o

I can't see where it states A2 stainless, but  https://www.screwfix.com/c/screws-nails-fixings/nuts/cat840096?constructionmaterialfixings=a2_stainless_steel

Delivery will add considerably to the price however....

Me thinks ebay has a previously unpublished list of A4 names including  "Silvine"...….

Coat, hat etc.
