NickL2008
Looking at the photos and the crazed paintwork on the metal casting are there signs of Mazak rot? That might explain why the “previous owner” cut the ends off... Darius Hi - he has a lot of stuff at over the top prices, some Bachmann bogies with gear towers, he wants ~£20 , all good and fine, but that mounts up quickly when you want to buy more than one, some of the older spare parts he sells are just too over priced! The Trackmaster van* seems to have avoided serious warping - very unusual. I think it's actually based on a L & Y prototype but I may be wrong. The Tri-ang tank wagon is just that - a Tri-ang tank wagon... * 99% certain that's what it is on a Hornby underframe considerably inferior to its own. I can't blame the seller (apart from the rusty wood, they're not bad and started at only 99p), but someone thinks they're worth 16 quid! The seller has other examples if anyone is interested.... The seller is of note though, a few years back they had dozens of cheap locos, based in Croydon they have option to collect and save postage.. so I bought and won, went to collect,. turns out it’s Cash Converters next to West Croydon station. GeoffAlan
I see a seller of predominately N gauge second hand rolling stock and locomotives who consistently lists all of his items as rare. This is a sales ploy, no doubt, but when it appears next to overpriced Peco wagons, that are still available from Rails or Hattons, at the normal price?
