This has been for sale for a long time wonder why it has not sold. And with the new 156 coming from realtrack all detailed all sing all dancing and £74 cheaper, I doubt it will ever sell.

And kit built????

"GOOD - FAIR, UNBOXED CONDITION"

l don't think so. All their stuff lately looks tired and expensive to boot.

What's that old saying, something about

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,

It obviously looks good -fair to them,

More "pro-weathering":-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-12t-BR-Planked-Ply-Door-vent-van-wagon-PRO-WEATHERED-LOOK/401233383424?_trksid=p2047675.c100010.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D555012%26algo%3DPW.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D38661%26meid%3D7af3dd56f1eb4f7bb9d590a2515d28ad%26pid%3D100010%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D311745428497

In general quite good, but shouldn't there be signs of grease/oil on the W irons and dirt between the planks and around the buffers etc.? and surely complete new doors would have received paint and why have several planks only been half replaced?

Or am I just too pedantic?

Why wait for Hornby to release the air-smoothed MN when you can get one RIGHT NOW, it's even a Hornby model, AND IT'S NEW!! :jester:  :O  :jester:

Seems like I've missed one of Bulleids little-known creations, the hybrid Battle of Britain/Merchant Navy -> Sir Keith Park #35043!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-Battle-Of-Britain-Class-Sir-Keith-Park-/112218124178?hash=item1a20b8af92:g:xKsAAOSwEzxYOvbS

Apparently the seller needs glasses "or something" given it's listed as NEW with a lovely piece of TAPE with the incorrect number for class stuck over the original on the cab side! DUH!!!

You missed this hybrid class because the seller seems to have captured the market. There is a another one in amongst the door and window fittings of his other listings:  'Hawkinge' 34041  (sometimes masquerading as 'Wilton').

So sad.

Not really madness, it just amused me. Were the colours really that overdone?

Not garish perhaps, but 'Pauline' and 'Phyllis' are usually a lot curvier than this....

Not so much ebay but a buyer problem. Something sold on Saturday last week. Payment received late Saturday - parcel posted monday 2nd class.....buyer opens a complaint at 15:31 today asking if I had the item to sell originally.. about to respond when, at 16:01 the problem had gone.... not sure were it was but .. perhaps a day longer before getting up tight???

I had that once, in the days when it was still possible to post negative feedback. The buyer expected the item to turn up the day after he paid. Since he had paid in the evening when the post office was closed, this wasn't really going to work.....

and, since poor condition Trix track is practically worthless and the wagon is probably the most common of all, not even worth worth the £6.99 opening bid (without considering the exorbitant postage - not the seller's fault - that's down to Royal Mail!). The box is a late fifties wagon box, presumably the one for the wagon. (The two boxes are probably 'worth' marginally more than their contents.)

Not railway related but it proves the benefit of reading the auction properly...

My wife wanted a USB hub so I found one on Ebay, starting price 1p and £4.99 postage.  So I put £1 max bid on but nobody else was interested and thus I was the winner of a USB hub for a fiver.  Happy with that.

Except it's not actually "a" USB hub I've bought.

It was a job lot of brand new in packaging twenty six USB hubs for 1p plus P&P.

I guess I've got extra Christmas presents now for everyone I know with a laptop but I'm not sure if Great Aunt Lucy will know what to do with hers...
