Is that a weak camera flash, a match or has he not paid the electricity bill ?  And are the strange plastic (!) sheets under the box included in the sale ?  :jester:

I hadn't noiced earlier but his version of 'as new condition' means it has one rusty buffer head and one missing at the front.

Arrrggggghhhh ! It's HM if you are referring to Lilibet.     Sorry, rant over and I'm not a particular fan of the Buck House crew :jester:

Slightly off topic but I recall the day of the Diamond Jubilee Royal Thames Regatta (when it rained a lot), one of the commentators referred to Brenda as "HRH".  On the BBC.  Live.  Just then the rain intensified and I could have sworn it was the ghost of the late Richard Dimbleby turning on the heavenly taps a bit harder in disgust at such a crass mistake.

OOPS.

The photo is the R.1X, Princess Passenger Set....It even says this on the Box Lid!

Not the earliest set, it has TV suppressors (Information in the little Box on the lid), so mid 1950s....

The Rovex set  seems to be well hidden, but £120 seems a reasonable price for all those sets or is there something I didn't understand (not unusual!).

It would appear that you get the Rovex set in place of the M7 set illustrated, but the seller refers to five Tri-ang sets and the photo shows seven (not counting the M7).

Wrong photos are a Cartmel speciality, but what is "HIGHLY DESIRABLE" about a Tri-ang Princess? (above all a black one).

Very rare - of course!  Perhaps the drive train design might have something to do with that?

An interesting item Andy.......... "This train needs some work on it"........understatement of the year!

I guess that this is the company http://www.binnsroad.co.uk/railways/adams/index.html

Not one of the photos shows what the thing actually looks like! I think I'll pass on this one. (I already have a pair of Rivarossi E-units anyway.)

Had a gander at his other rail items, not too expensive and he will post to the UK for what looks like a reasonable cost ($14.95 tracked).

So there's some truth in the description "Sir Frederick PILE" then.........?

Cheers,

That's the trouble with ebay - the automatic selection of category based upon a keyword.

I put in "Lemon" and it re-directed me to Hornby/EMU/4-VEP.......................... :jester:

Cheers,

Mick

I would do them for mis-representation with a statement like this:

"Just imagine a Brussels Sprout which you can serve at the dinner table, and the children come back for seconds! " :jester:

Definitely a figment of his imagination!

'CHARD, don't forget "Lager" is German for storage....so could be for anything......

...which makes mass produced British lager a nonsense, as it's whacked through the factory (er brewery) in no time at all.......
