He/she states, "I cannot say how many pieces are there or missing though obviously the great majority are there as is the instruction sheet." Surely if the instruction sheet is included it should show how many parts there are, or perhaps he/she cannot count!!!!

Very rare and highly collectable...

("Why?" does come to mind!)

To be fair, it was started at a relatively low price.

Interesting, I didn't know these existed!. The same company made famous for the Railway Models, J & R Randall....MERIT.

Having recently read The Boys Book of Airfix  (bought at a sensible price from Amazon bearing in mind it used to show up in The Works & similar discounters for a pittance) those kits are pretty important to Airfix collectors...

I had the full set, and still have some in pieces in the loft. They were great kits for the period. I remember that spoked wheels were embossed transparent discs which you painted - that was where I learned drybrushing.

Oh yes.

This is the actual toad that Stanier travelled in, when he embarked for Northern climes. (What is a Northern Clime? Ah, Greengrocer! A pound of your finest Climes, please!)...

Now I think of it, wasn't this one made for the Llantrisant, Maesteg & Sketty Railway?

'Snot Lima. It's the genuine Triang article in that rather spiffing shade of green that they did (vs the bright red alternative). Whether that makes it worth eight quid is debateable :D. It's probably roughly equivalent to the prices such wagons were going for back c1980 when they formed the mainstay of many 0 gauge freight fleets.

Probably 8p or 1/7d in old money!!!!

That seems more like it!

This 9F tender is doing quite nicely....

Really..

Is there something in the bunker I don't know about.

That's nearly enough for the complete locomotive! :O

BR1B/C/D tenders always seem to sell well, whether Hornby or Bachmann, mainly because they rarely come up as spares. The BR1D from Hornby's new-generation "Britannia" can command as much as fifty quid on its own. There'll always be people wanting to put them behind 4MT 2-6-0s and 4-6-0s, 5MTs, Britannias and 9Fs. The internals are fairly easily modified to change it from "B" to "C"/"D" or even "E" (for the DoG)

I got lucky last week and snaffed a Hornby BR1B (from the 4MT 4-6-0) for £17.

I'm always on the look-out for all things ScotRail but £25 for a window sticker? They're 'aving a larf...

Could even be slightly "dog-eared" too.

I also didn't realise Bachmann's ScotRail DBSO was being released via ebay first...

Then there's always this one - only really "madness" in terms of categorization. Not sure he's doing his friend any favours unless he changes it out of OO!

Then again, maybe someone WANTS a 1:1 scale crane for their OO layout, who am I to judge!  :jester:
