Il Grifone
The vent van sold at the asking price! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331105764974?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I believe BR sold off old bodies in the sixties for 25/- a foot*, so something like this would have sold for around £20. Allowing for inflation that makes about £400, which this sold for. The difference is the condition of course - this is only fit for scrap. *I got this figure from somewhere - it might not be correct, but would seem reasonable.

84A
Anyone bored with OO? Thought about scaling up? Maybe this is a start: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/railway-carriage-Genuine-Severn-Valley-Train-Carriage-/331105764974 Note: Listed as Used. Do Markits offer full scale wheels? Just discovered today that someone actually bought it! It would be nice to see it restored, but there looks like a hell of a lot of work between then and now. Ruffnut Thorston
Well, the "Garden seat" wheels could do!... Being the same scale as the van body... OK, they are Roller Bearings...but..... Just an underframe, buffers, etc. and another set of wheels needed... And couplings of your choice!
