RMweb Premium Gary H Posted December 7, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 7, 2013 Interesting item, but isn't this statement against ebay rules? We appreciate the asking price for this item is considerable and as such any parties interested in acquiring this piece are asked to contact us to negotiate a sale. However, it has been on ebay for over two years...... Cheers, Mick Yeah, very true. Free advertising for the seller!
Ruffnut Thorston
Prototype Concorde engine anyone? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BAC-TSR2-RAF-Aircraft-Olympus-320-Jet-Engine-TSR-2-UNIQUE-Oportunity-/130574234473?pt=Motors_Aviation_Parts_Gear&hash=item1e66d4b369 Its said to be the forerunner to the Concorde engine at any rate! The TSR-2 was a super advanced fighter plane...almost a "space plane"....but it went the way of a lot of British inovations...binned by HM Goverment of the day...like the whole space programme! Ruffnut Thorston
This is getting.... well I'm starting to run out of words....... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIMA-OO-RAKE-OF-6-ASSORTED-BR-C-C-MKI-COACHES/131064338605?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D286%26meid%3D3233143055428065696%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1048%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D161169341685%26 I think I may be following your train of thought here... I have had a quick look..... Rails seem to have abandoned £0.99 Start Auctions mainly....and having Buy It Now prices, with most also being "Best Offer" listings. Have they been bitten a few times selling stuff too cheap? Edited December 7, 2013 by Sarahagain

I would guess its a Silver Fox one on a Lima chassis but you must be able to spot is a lash up. Looks professional (compared to mine) and is not unfairly priced as the body alone was £43.50. I do hope buyers don't think they are getting a Heljan one.

I know Lima coaches aren't up to much, but it didn't deserve this. (A decent burial in the bin maybe?) I won't (and I doubt anyone else will either) be spending £12.98 on it! PatB
I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who can't grasp the idea that burned plastic bears not the slightest resemblance to burned wood or scorched steel.
Il Grifone
I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who can't grasp the idea that burned plastic bears not the slightest resemblance to burned wood or scorched steel. And that a model of a burned out/semi-derelict/etc. item requires just as much (or even more) skill as an intact and functional one. A piece of junk stuck in in a corner of the layout still looks like a piece of junk. Edited December 8, 2013 by Il Grifone

Horsetan
£15.75 for an empty box?!!???
RMweb Gold RFS Posted December 8, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 8, 2013 £15.75 for an empty box?!!??? If you look at his completed items he's an "empty box shifter" and judging by the prices realised he's doing quite well out of it! But I suspect that when he comes to sell what was in the boxes, he'll get a lower price due to there being no boxes for them.
RMweb Gold Colin_McLeod Posted December 8, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 8, 2013 Perhaps he did not sell the contents. Perhaps he is hapilly running them, but instead of throwing the box away he sells it. Oh why did I not sell my empty boxes??
