sandwich station
This takes some beating : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AIRBRUSH-KIT-AIRBRUSH-COMPRESSOR-AIR-BRUSH-COMPRESSOR-WITH-2-AIRBRUSHES-/290631234796?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Tattoos_BodyArt_SM&hash=item43aaf8b4ec Exactly the same item is being sold elsewhere on eBay for less than £100 ! Only matched by the same seller's offer on this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AIRBRUSH-3-1-CLEANING-POT-AIR-BRUSHES-COMPRESSOR-/290541781760?pt=UK_Crafts_DrawingSupplies_EH&hash=item43a5a3c300 And if you click on either of the auctions where it says "59 Sold" and "150 Sold" the prices are mostly £75 and £12.95 Edited August 24, 2013 by sandwich station
RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted August 24, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 24, 2013 Not sure if others have picked up on this already, but there seems to be an emerging trend of quite vague titles, presmuably to get people to look at their listing. For instance, I notice the following with the title 'Hornby train sets': http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-train-sets-/251325184425?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3a8425f9a9 However, the sellers interpretation of 'train set' is a Railroad Class 31 (actually, 'sets' in the title implies multiple as well!). Other locos are listed with the same misleading title, and there are plenty of other sellers who seem to do this as well. Surely there should be a controller, a small amount of track and a wagon or two for 'train set' to apply at the bare minimum? Yes I thought there were more vague titles these days. Unfortunately it's always stuff I don't want, or stuff at very high starting prices. It's never something I want that's been badly described and a good price

Its because he has run out of stock and is waiting for more to arrive, it saves him the re-listing fee plus it stops anyone who buys one now having to wait, its quite a common ebay practise, Edited September 2, 2013 by royaloak

Steve O.
Unless I'm missing an eBay rule / practice / odd algorithm... If you search for "Hornby kit kat" (long story) one of the 'buy it now' entries is from our friend Gostude at GBP12.50 + free postage. http://m.ebay.co.uk/search?cad=1&so=12&isRefine=true&cmd=SREF&kw=Hornby+kit+kat&pgn=1 If you then click on it, you suddenly get GBP8.50 postage charge. So unless you notice it, you may be paying more than you bargained for. Shifty?

Ruffnut Thorston
"Ideal for cutting" - wouldn't it have been better for cutting BEFORE it was hacked to pieces? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-SHORT-BRAKE-VAN-BODY-SHELL-NEW-IDEAL-FOR-CUTTING-/321171029047?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item4ac748fc37&nma=true&si=2HCQfTM02oHFGvgJJR6tb38059s%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Actually, this is how the moulding starts out. The ducketts, roof, etc. are all separate parts on the later Hornby China brake vans.... Well I've put in an offer of £2.85, let's see what happens. Update: my offer was declined. I can't say I'm too disheartened, with the nine quid postage it was on the edge of worthwhile rather than an outstanding bargain.
