45059
I wonder if the Olivia's 40145 in large logo will come with a headlight? I bet not... Still, being a Bachmann factory limited edition at least it should be more correct than some of Olivia's efforts.

45059
Ouch!!! That hurts My wife bought me 45059 (weathered) a year or two back. Needed all the 'weathering' stripping off and starting again! (Which turned out to be something of a blessing, as it now has a flush nose.) I've also seen too many errors. Locos with incorrect body types (37073 with a refurbished body from a 37/4- still with the ETH on the nose! as well as some livery mistakes on other locos) for the money that the ask. They are an interesting business filling something of a niche for many, and good luck to them. But not for me I'm afraid.

The CFPS Bachmann Limited Edition BR Blue 40 145 had headlights, so it's likely the L/L version will also.

As the latest 40 body has separate nose ends, as per 37's, they just need centre box nose ends with headlights. Hopefully at some point they will also do the rebuilt "square" cornered, centre box noses as per Haymarket's . 40 063/6 etc

45059
My 40141 is now in the 'workshop for an overhaul' now that I've made my mind up on it's new identity. I'll keep you guessing, but I'll post a picture when it's done.

P.C.M
Seems the old class 40s are a bit of a minefield when it comes to detail differences. I think I might start a thread to help those who may not know some things to watch out for. Cheers Peter. Edited February 6, 2014 by P.C.M
RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted February 6, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) That would be very useful Peter! Heres what I know I have to do to D200 1. No hand rails on top of bonnet - all first 10 lacked these I think 2. Relocate lamp irons from corners of nose to central position either side of nose end doors - ? unique to D200 IS there more I wonder?
