ess1uk
I've got the Ratio concrete wall kit to make up down the back of the sidings to mask the gap to the back scene. That should keep me amused for a while over the weekend.

Shed
quiet on the layout front but i have been modifying my Yeoman PGAs by taking the centre bulkhead out. How is it going?
ess1uk
How is it going? It's trickier than it looks.
ess1uk
some pictures taken last night, lighting not very good in the garage this time of year, new lights needed. not much more done recently except the wagons and wagon loads. oh, and the backscene is only temporary! thanks for the interest Edited November 5, 2012 by ess1uk
Beresford Junction
Looking good and coming along, although taking the bulkhead out looks fiddly. Good idea to paint before removing from the sprues (is that what they're called?) I'd recommend upgrading the lights. I struggled along for ages with one single bulb, and in hindsight I'm surprised I could see anything at all. Phil
ess1uk
there are strip lights in the garage, just the spacing is bad and that end is a bit dark after sunset.
ess1uk
Once again life has got in the way of modelling. Most I've managed is another go at the yeoman wagons this weekend. Hopefully if I remember to take them away with me this week I will get a bit more done in the hotel.
ess1uk
The most I've managed to get done recently is the Ratio barrels and palettes. At least they can be put in the corner awaiting use whilst I try and get on with some track laying or the concrete fence. Need to visit a DIY shop to get a plank to fix the fence so might sneak some 9mm ply home too! Edited November 17, 2012 by ess1uk

ess1uk
Just taking a short break from operation garage clean up. I can't believe how much stuff there is in there that only gets used a few times a year! Anyway, made more room for the expansion so now need to plan the track layout and get the timber

ess1uk
How's the extension going? Working it out in my head whilst trying to clear space in the garage on the odd occasion I'm home recently. Think I know what I want now and just need to get to the timber merchant when I'm not at work.
ess1uk
just a couple of pictures taken whilst messing about in the garage recently when i should have been clearing up! excuse the poor light and picture quality they were taken on the smart phone. the backscene is temporary whilst I decide where the layout is going to live. Guest Linthorpe
Why on earth has he left the 'Peco scene' bits on I thought: the backscene is temporary whilst I decide where the layout is going to live. Then i realised
ess1uk
Why on earth has he left the 'Peco scene' bits on I thought: Then i realised yeah its only glued to a cereal packet and taped to the wall, all very temp until i decide if that is even going to be the backscene there will be a Ratio concrete wall along the back to hide the join to what ever backscene becomes the final choice.
Shed
think that backscene suits the layout
