 - fig rolls are horrible things!!

There is a (possibly apocryphal) story of fig rolls being served when Dylan Thomas' family had posh visitors.  He'd never had one, and tried, only to exclaim loudly 'ugh, it tastes like a c**t', at an age when he should not have been able to make such a statement authoritatively.  It sounds like the sort of thing he'd do as a child though; even as an adult he liked shocking people.

Anything with coconut in it is revolting...

More Iced VoVos for me then! 😉

And Lamingtons. Now Lamingtons really are cakes - not like Jaffa Cookies. 🙄

(In the US these are obtainable as LU PiM's - Lefèvre-Utile, owned by Mondelez.)

And no one mentioned Arnott's Mint slice or Dark Chocolate Mint Tim Tams.

The most important question of any chocolate biscuit, Hobnobs or Digestives etc., is which way up should it be as you eat it - chocolate up or chocolate down? It makes a difference!

No idea, but my own golden rule for chocolate biccies is 'No Dunking!'

Plain (& boring) biccies are for dunking. Not choccy ones, under any circumstances!! default_nono.gif.8b3b90e84d1bfe3230bf4d1a14121e0d.gif

High school incident; I'd been busy at lunchtime and hadn't eaten properly, so, first period in the afternoon, 'Richards, boy, what are you doing?'.  'Masticating my cobs, sir!'.  Well, he asked, and I told him, and since the subject was English (Language) and he was impressed with my mastery of vocabulary, I got away with it...

So you haven't bitten the ends off a chocolate finger and used it as a straw then?
