Surely ... the weight of the elephants makes the rhubarb crumble?

Depends on the custard.

As long as it hasn't got elephants hiding upside down in it with the bottom of their feet painted yellow!

The elephant is a pretty bird
It flits from twig to twig

And whistles like a pig.

The elephant is a funny bird

it flits from bough to bough

It makes its nest in a rhubarb tree

and whistles like a cow.

Or elephants and giraffes.

Shouldn't that be snipers and giraffes?

Useless fact, the shop used in that advert is at the corner of Quarry Street and Agnew Avenue Coatbridge, just along from Coatdyke Station.  I used to pop in for sweets on my way to school.

Hi Jim,

I confess that I don't quite understand your comment.

The picture seems to be of a sign in a shop, about possible alternatives to cash or card payments, by what would seem to be children attempting alternative ways to pay. That would seem to qualify for a Wacky sign, so informative, rather than "useless" [agree with the sentiment or not].  Quite how that qualifies for an advert is not quite clear but I may have missed something.

Either way it is lovely to hear from someone who has personal experience of a wacky sign, although you didn't mention whether you managed to beat the system...?

Best wishes

The sign reflects an advert featuring another shop.  If you’ve not seen the original ad then the joke ain’t gonna work!

Well, yes I did understand the connection with the Cadbury advert theme.  I simply didn't see how that made the picture, in [presumably] another shop making use of the Cadbury humour - "useless", as a Wacky Sign.  My fault, I should have had more clarity in my comment. Apologies to all.
