To me it has connotations of places where they still have things like proper Morris Dancing, folk singing and ritual sacrifice of strangers.

Getting back on track with a wacky sign as well. :declare:

Which reminds me of a not very funny "comedian" that relied solely on expletives to tell a joke.

Definitely one in Derby when I was there nearly 50 years ago.

Think the one in Derby has had a name change now but there is still one just outside Derby in Willington, It was my regular watering hole for many years from the late' 60's until I left the area a couple of years ago though not quite so frequently in the last few years.

and a derelict one on the Dock Road in Liverpool. I don't think it's very common up here though.

How would anyone be able to tell if anything is derelict in Liverpool.

What's all this noise? We'll have no trouble here. This a local shop for local people.

Hour we are our we not?  lol :)

That made me think of a line from a Spike Jones (and others) song: "Are we not the supermen, super-dooper supermen?" :jester:

I wonder why there is what appears to be a half-used roll of toilet paper on the shopping cart! :biggrin_mini:
