Whacky Signs.

Besides moving into the pub trade, is the "urban decay" branding somehow meant to be ironical?

Actually neon signs are become something of a rarity these days, everything seems to be based around LEDs.

A shame really, there was quite an art bending the glass tubes to make colourful signage.

I think Selfridges are using it as a sort of "Retro" feel sale sign, but It looks like it's on it's last legs!

Seen at Newton Abbot station where building work to install a gateline is underway.

Just 2 letters round the wrong way changes the message completely.

To me that is correct If you take the logo at the top as part of the message, it then reads "sisk rail apologise......"

I think that would work better without the capital A in "Apologise"

Is that an order?

What's there for the reader to be sorry for?

For being in the way and causing them to have to put up silly signs and fences, so that you don't do something stupid and hurt yourself on thier building site?

Maybe it's facing the wrong way round and it's an instruction to construction workers, like the ones you sometimes see behind the till in supermarkets telling the checkout operators to smile at customers and make polite conversation.

Not really wacky in itself, but it reminded me of the signs that it has clearly been derived from, 'baby on board'. What are you supposed to do differently because the car in front has that sign in its back window? Beware that the driver may well be distracted by the little darling/perisher (you choose) making too much noise, climbing out of its harness, throwing up??? Could the driver be so exasperated that he/she throws the little a/a out of the window? Are they going to pull up suddenly for a wee break? Is the driver so tired from sleepless nights that they will fall asleep at the wheel?

Yes - where is the web site that tells you if you can believe snopes or not?

The Zen koan of internet credibility.

What is the sound of one hand clapping?

If a tree falls in a wood and no one is there to hear it, does it make a noise?
