RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted September 20, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 20, 2011 Is there any suitable solvent to 'dissolve' Copydex from a brush? Trying to rub it out just seems to destroy the bristles.
edward66
I believe Copydex is basically natural rubber latex. Solvents such as turps substitute will eventually soften and dissolve it but not terribly quickly. You could experiment with a cheap rubber band and try various solvents. Pugsley
Can you obtain any cat pee? Cellulose thinners will clear it up, as that works with Maskol which is essentially similar. HTH
Boris
I stand my brush in bleach for a while, that seems to do the trick.
RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted September 21, 2011 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 21, 2011 Can you obtain any cat pee? O yes Martin, plenty of that here! It's just that I don't fancy chasing my two around with a tin! Thanks all for the tips. Much appreciated.
