Fore River Transportation - Different!

During a recent email discussion about doing something different as a model railroad....

Plenty of modelling challenges around this location.

 

Chemical Plant, shipyard, cement, scrap merchant, preserved battleship, amazing bridge, lovely derelict and part derelict buildings, ferry terminal. Rusty old engines, newly painted engines, internal wye junction, urban railroad, rural railroad.

Sort of makes you weep doesn't it? Then again we have got Grangemouth.........

Anyone else getting various installations there deliberataly pixellated - including the bridge?

The bridge is pixellated at some magnifications (presumably there isn't a mid-magnification photo). I zoomed in on the 'battleship' (actually a heavy cruiser - USS Salem CA 139), and then moved over to the bridge and it is clear.

So it is, ta!

 

Looks like a temporary lifting bridge whilst they build a new one next to it - interesting!

 

But I think the pixellation is deliberate rather than due to resolution, check out the oil/chemical terminal to the South on Quincy Road, the pixellation follows the outline of the property, even going around buildings and curves on roads at the edge of it. Bit wierd to let the more detailed stuff stay though if the idea was to censor it.
