Mike T
Hi David The very book I posted about on the 5th of August in the topic below this! Picked a copy up today from Ian Alan's in Brum after dodging through the broken glass on New Street... Looks to be a good read. Mike

dseagull
Excellent, cheers. Need some, not overly impressed by what I've seen commercially, so may well give making my own a shot - where better to get the 'how to' from than such a master of the scenic side of the hobby than Gordon Gravett. Coombe Barton
If you're anywhere near Wigan go talk to Geoff Kent at the show tomorrow - was an eye opener for me - and what I've learnt is going to save me a load of dosh.
swisspeat
This book on Modelling Trees is excellent. Lots of good quality pictures of real and model trees. All the techniques are well explained visually and in words. Already looking forward to the promised volume 2 about conifers.... If you want to have a go at making your own trees this book will give you the best chance of making something that looks like a tree!
