New OO container/conflat.

Hattons are advertising a new Dapol OO conflat/container combination in three varieties, two GW and one unpainted. The container is of a planking pattern not previously seen, and having ordered three unpainted examples to be painted into 1950's BR livery, can anyone tell me what diagram it represents, and suitable code/numbering? Is it an early B container? (as opposed to BK, BD etc. previously modelled).

Cheers, Peter C.

The conflat wagon has been issued by Dapol in the past - if it is the 9' whl base then this corresponds to a GW dia H6, if a 10ft whl base, then it is related to dia H7.

Not sure what the container prototype reference is ... dilbert

Superficially it looks like an LMS/BR 'B' type container, but by the strapping it looks to have doors at both ends, like the old Merit H0 container. On the real 'B' containers the fixed end could be wood or corrugated.

In light of the additional info below, then it would appear to be a 'B'.

Its got a fixed corrugated end, see the pictures of the painted ones.

There are more shots on ehattons too, I think the sides of the container have bowed in too as well as the body being warped on that sample.

I don't know why anybody would buy these two when you can get a quality Bachmann version for a bit more painted and accurate:
