Since a loco that sounds but does not go is a pain, silencing the thing while you give it suitable advice re running can save some frustration! Jon Grant 4472 Posted July 4, 2011 Share Posted July 4, 2011 We did try that route (with a Challenger IIRC) and it came back saying it was tested (presumably on an MRC system!) but they could find no fault - it still didn't work on Lenz though... Β The annoying thing about my MRC decoder was that it worked fine for half an hour, before stopping/butning out. I use an NCE PH-Pro and have another MRC decoder which works fine (although the decoder emits a sound when idling, that resembles a budgie trapped under the hood.
