trisonic Posted June 21, 2011 Share Posted June 21, 2011 I saw a great pick up truck that would make a cool model recently. It was a Fire Truck (converted from a "250" sized pick up) but set up specifically for Brush Fires (of which there are many every year even around here). The thing was absolutely covered in brush guards - every single window, lights front and rear, massive front end bars. I couldn't make out what brand it was. Large plastic water tank in bed with pumps. Personnel "trained" hoses in rear and what looked like remote control nozzles near the quarter lights (similar to the old remote linked lights on patrol cars). Wonderful piece of kit. Â Best, Pete. Â I saw one in use at about 8:00am after doing the school run it was even smaller and with the rather large operator it appeared more as human/robot hybrid! Now I want one for my back-yard. Â Done that on mine (front end only) - really easy to do with a blade on the plastic chassis. B) Â I'd add the city power truck to my list as well Pete, again one with MOW truck potential! Â Even though the order arrived in UK on 07/07 - It is still to come to me! Â HMRC are to blamce for this! Â I only recieved the Notice of Duty payamble on Friday when I got home from work. Â Anyway - Duty paid and HMRC advise I should receive the parcel on Monday. Â Once I have - I'll be busy wrapping and sending the stuff that those of you who were interested have bought.
