Online Reviews Of Dapol Cargowaggon Ferry Van?

I seem to remember Ben Ando being very impressed by this wagon in Model Rail mag, though it was probably the original plain silver livery. His one criticism as I recall, that I can agree with, is that it needs a little extra weight. This is however very easy to add.

Yep I would agree with that. Only problems I had was that the NEM pockets are a tiny fraction too far from the buffer beam, but unless you are replacing them with couplers which exactly rely on NEM lengths (eg Profi) you aren't going to care

Weathering really brings them out although in fact it's close to repainting the amount of crud they have on them most of the time.

I have to agree with what everyone has said already. There's not a great deal of weight there, and they look far better with a coat of railmatch frame dirt. Other than that it's quite an impressive model, with lots of seperately applied details like brake wheels etc.

I'm really grateful for my pair, the hobby has gone way too long without this wagon.
