RMweb Premium coronach Posted October 3, 2016 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 3, 2016 I have been continuing to develop the borders scenery towards Whitrope summit. This includes the cutting around one of the iconic Waverley route sheep accommodation bridges. An A2 pacific slogs up the gradient with a Millerhill to Kingmoor yard fully fitted freight.

millerhillboy
Agree with Roy, a fellow N gauge Waverley route devotee, that this is inspirational stuff. Been folowng this for a few years now but each update never fails to impress.

RMweb Premium coronach Posted July 3, 2017 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted July 3, 2017 And a few more. The main theme is an Ivatt 2MT hauling a southbound train of 16t mineral wagons. It passes an Ivatt 4MT hauling a northbound fitted freight and a 4F waiting in platform 3 at Whinburgh after arriving with a stopping passenger train.

RMweb Premium coronach Posted September 8, 2017 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 8, 2017 (edited) More akin to the Stainmore line, nevertheless here is a north-bound excursion passing Whitrope Siding hauled by an Ivatt class 4 2-6-0 and a BR standard class 4 2-6-0 Edited September 14, 2017 by coronach
RMweb Premium coronach Posted September 14, 2017 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 14, 2017 (edited) A couple of images from new angles. The first is a view that the P Way patrolman would see when setting off from Slitrigg on his walk to Whitrope. The second is south of Whinburgh showing a B1 easing a fully fitted freight around the sharp curves on the descent towards Carlisle. This one is a bit wonky because it requires the photographer to practice Limbo techniques !! Edited September 14, 2017 by coronach

millerhillboy
Just superb, I've got a very similar fleet of locos but in N gauge generally with an association to Edinburgh. Sadly the layout is still just bare boards but what I'd give to have a setting like yours to exercise them in.

RMweb Premium coronach Posted October 26, 2017 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) The PDK D30 Scott is nearly complete. It is a good runner and the high level two stage gear box is very quiet. I am yet to test it's haulage capability but have managed to get some lead squeezed above the driving wheels. The second photo is comparison with a rather dusty gauge 0 Bassett Lowke clockwork George V 'made in Bavaria' which must be 100 years old. That is a good runner too !!! LNER4479
Great stuff, as always. You didn't take your 'rotated' pictures on an I-phone by any chance did you? I've found that recently when posting pictures on RMWeb. If you've taken a picture on an I-phone as 'portrait', RMWeb can't seem to cope with that format and rotates it to be landscape. Seems to be something to do with the ratio of the image, it must be a bit too elongated. If you crop the top and bottom of the pic then re-post (bit of a faff I know!), then it seems to be able to cope with it OK.
RMweb Premium coronach Posted November 6, 2017 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 6, 2017 Completed. I'm really happy with this engine - it looks just right with a non-corridor three coach set.

RMweb Premium coronach Posted November 7, 2017 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 7, 2017 I understand that Hawick shed is receiving an ex LNER class D20 allocation from DJH during December. I expect it will need a bit of attention before it appears at Whinburgh lol. I do like these Edwardian 4-4-0s.
