RMweb Premium Compound2632 Posted November 25, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2019 It's tricky to find any other NER 0-6-0Ts with the short 13'8" wheelbas of the E / E1, so my money's on the E-asy conversion [Ref. I. Rice, Model Railway Journal (way back...)].

RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted November 25, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2019 Started adding bits to the loco tonight. The rear of the bunker has been refitted and the gap below it filled with plasticard, the buffer beams have been enlarged and the underside of the footplate packed so the body sits at the right height, the class 44 were taller than both E and E1, big wheels but small splashers. 12
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted November 26, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 26, 2019 After much struggling I finally got the cab to bits tonight so the doors have been cut out and front spectacles filed flush. The new cab interior has also been bent up and trial fitted.
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted December 1, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 1, 2019 Most bits stuck on that need to be stuck on, brakes need adding to the chassis and vent and rain strips adding to the roof and that's about it. 11

Nothing exciting, a representation of the bunker front and backhead, the driver and fireman should be hiding this. Cab roof now detailed.

Jack P
Looks really excellent.
