Beresford Junction
Nice vid Phil. Really emphasis how long the layout is, looks great. What camera did you use and how did you mount it? Cheers Guy Thanks Guy - now you know why I haven't finished my helix - great work on your by the way. It's just my standard point and click camera (a Fujifilm F600EXR), balanced on a BDA, then pushed along by my Freightliner 57 003 with sound to add to the atmosphere. The camera stuck out quite a bit and I had to move some things out of the way after a couple of disasters. I'll look forward to a cab view trip up and down your helix next. Beresford Junction
A couple of pics of the rather low tech 'Cab Cam'. As you can see it sticks out a fair way on both sides. Phil

Swifty11
I used an iPhone for the cab cam which was a pain in barckside! Ended up masking taping it to a container lol

Beresford Junction
Never mind Blue wardrobes, that fella up North has got a working helix. What are you playing at man?! I know, I've been distracted playing with the trains I also worked out that I really need to start at the bottom and fit the fiddle yard first then add the bottom of the helix to that. I now have the points so will get cracking on it - honest. Phil

7APT7
Hi Mate Great CAB CAM you have, and here's me thinking there actually had a small enough camera to rest inside the front dash of the loco... lol Jamie
Beresford Junction
More messing round with the videos - hopefully something for everyone. Freightliner Class 57 action (and yes I know the rear axle on the container wagon is not fully on the track) 1990's Class 37 action The sound effects are helpfully provided by 57 003 and not the '37s And yes Ian I know what I should be doing, but have also got even more sidelined building another bridge. You can actually buy tiny cameras pre-fitted into wagons, where you just insert a memory card to save the video onto - in both OO and N, which would be great if you needed to fit through a tunnel or something. pitbull1845
Nice vids Phil, your collection of rolling stock seems to be growing rather well. Think I'll need to get a few more HEA's before I can continue 514's journey into Redbrook!
Beresford Junction
Think I'll need to get a few more HEA's before I can continue 514's journey into Redbrook! I reckon that if you do a close enough shot, you could keep taking them off after they've gone past then add them on to the back.
