pitbull1845
Phil, I'm equally busy at home... Just to add something to the mix Of course the other option is just to run dmu's on your passenger services.
Satan's Goldfish
I really must learn how to 'draw' on this tablet... Option 4a, add a trailing crossover before the junction. Both platforms can arrive and depart then and from what I can gather from spending too much time on this site, trailing crossings are prefered over facing. Automatic uncoupling ramp at the end of each line in the station, 2 passenger or a passenger plus res can use it at once. Up to you whether it's terminus or pretend through.

Beresford Junction
Now guys (and girls).... This was supposed to be about track reduction, and something seems to have gone wrong ..... Satan's Goldfish
You're basically on route to creating a mirror image 'minories' with a spur to your freight yard. Nice work, that's the definition of 'less is more'.
60026to
I think the only thing(s) missing behind that Class 70 is a few FEA's or maybe KTA's ;o) Matt.

Rammy
Looking good Phil. You really need to start weathering those bright green wagons though! I am really pleased with mine since I did them. Dave
Beresford Junction
Thanks Dave, I saw the great weathering job you did, and I long for the day that I'm finished sawing, painting, (re)laying track, etc. and can do some myself. Beresford Junction
A bit of a cleanup.... The res platform has moved, and also the bridge a bit. I still need a couple decide what to do with the station - double or single line. This is the current layout.
Removed a/c
I would go with two platforms but I am partial to stations, coaching stock etc............
Satan's Goldfish
Nice idea moving res. You could always continue the track after the station into a return loop or maybe a helix back down to the fiddle yard........ I'll get my coat.... Beresford Junction
Nice idea moving res. You could always continue the track after the station into a return loop or maybe a helix back down to the fiddle yard........ I'll get my coat.... Now you mention it...... You know I have those 'pizza ovens' in the wall, well I wonder if there is enough room to have a quick return loop in. Beresford Junction
Hi like the latest modifications I thought you might have had the container crane finished with lights and decals by now only kidding David Wexford Thanks David, and don't worry it's still on my (very long) list. Tonight I made some adjustments to the bridge and started work to the platform for the RES siding, which in other eras will no doubt be used for other things. Here are a couple of shots through the newly sited bridge. In this one a view into the main freight yard (and yes the touch of greenery is to cover up that the legs don't actually touch the ground in the new location ) and this one shows the fuelling point with the RES siding I'm still un-decided on the one or two through lines. And the obligatory (daily) track plan update.... Phil

P.C.M
Hi Phil, The latest track plan looks pretty good, with the RES sidings away from the station area it would look less crowded. If you have the room maybe lose the short loco siding and extend the platform a bit then you can fit loco and 5 coaches or loco and 4 coaches with room for the loco working the train back out to fit in the platform. Cheers Peter.
