RMweb Gold big jim Posted June 9, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 9, 2015 70805, 9 or 10 - hth there were actually 4 there, 70806 as well but i took that away yesterday with 70807 on 6V46 70810 and 70806 were on the old hump, 70805 was in the through sidings behind the hump, so the last one (70809) was on the up side storage (nearest the motorway) then to top it off there were 2 more on hinksey (and 66850) so in one trip i saw 70% of the 70 fleet and 50% of the 66 fleet as 66849 went through bescot too! Peter Kazmierczak
Spot the Class 70. Full house at Southampton MCT this afternoon - wonder if plans to create more sidings on the right will ever come to fruition. As all the roads were occupied beneath the cranes, arrivals had to enter via the sidings towards Redbridge, then reverse in. Oh,by the way, it's 70014.
RMweb Premium Ramrig Posted June 15, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 15, 2015 Oh,by the way, it's 70014. Iron Duke? Must have worked in on a boat train.
Peter Kazmierczak
Iron Duke? Must have worked in on a boat train. Would've also been seen at Matlock (ie Iron Duke not the Cl.70), in its time on the Midland. How threads intertwine......... Anyway, here's a more "bog standard" view of another Class 70 taken this afternoon. Edited June 15, 2015 by Peter Kazmierczak
simon47603
Hi Guys This morning around 6am. I passed over the GWML by ADJ yard on the Newport ring road. I saw a Colas Engineering Train waiting to go into ADJ. It was Top-n-Tailed by a pair of 70's with DBS/EWS MOA wagons in between. Would anyone know what Loco's they were and where had they come from? Thanks Simon

Powerhaul 70 Pey
Here's a couple of pictures from the Ellesmere Port Manisty Wharf to Fiddlers Ferry powers station which is nearly always hauled by a Freightliner class 70. I am still trying to master this new camera. Here is 70002 heading down Slutchers Lane in Warrington heading towards Arpley Junction to run around at Latchford Sidings. Crew change at Arpley signal box! I asked the driver when the last train from Manisty Wharf in Ellesmere Port will be running. He seemed to think it was either Friday 19th or Friday 26th June as Clydeport Operations at Manisty Wharf will be closing on 30th June.

I stopped to have a look but couldn't get its number! It was on an Engineering train made up of empty JNA or MLA wagons? Many thanks Simon

RMweb Premium DRS Crewe On A Mission Posted July 14, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 14, 2015 This is typical! When 70803 came onto Midland Road and was working liners too and from Leeds FLT on a couple of occasions I was busy working and couldn't see it and now I haven't had internet for four days in between it arriving at Midland Road and leaving today. I have just literally got back online. Good to see that other people have seen 809! The pics are fantastic and hopefully third time lucky for me to see one
Timara
Up a 5 metre pole for 70803 on 6X37 Hoo to Whitemoor, passing Junction Road junction on the Gospel Oak - Barking line. Won't be able to do this shot in a couple of years time when the OHLE goes up, that's for sure! 70803 Junction Road 30-6-15 (V22412) by Tim Easter, on Flickr Cheers, Tim
