Sad to read of the passing of former Hammer Francois Van Der Elst at the age of 62, following his having suffered a cardiac arrest.

West Ham only signed him towards the end of his career but he was always one to watch - quick and skilful with a fierce shot.

Fun and games at the Ann Summers Stadium - surprise, surprise, Payet's finally thrown his toys out of his pram. It's been coming for a while - methinks pretty much since the start of the season.

Get rid and move on!!!!

I assume they will be stopping his ages whilst he doesn't want to play.

One can but hope! Apparently he had been told that he could go at the end of the season but has become impatient for a move. So much for integrity and class. A lot of Hammers fans won't forget this easily.

West Ham were like a whole new team today! Ironically, as somebody remarked on a fan website, it looks like Payet has done the club a huge favour - other players stepped up when needed and after a turgid first half and a tactical reshuffle they played as a TEAM, something which had been missing for much of the season. On this showing, Payet won't be missed and the sooner he is sold, the better.

I see little old Leicester City are now the 20th "richest club" the world according to the Deloitte 2017 Money League.

Quite worrying for a local team for local people that nobody had ever heard of 18 months ago

At least they're not 20th in the League...

Not yet....but the alarming rate at which Ranieri is currently regressing back to bad "Tinkerman" gives cause for concern when coupled with the fact that not one single player in the squad is playing at anywhere near last season's level.......

......and the all signings since this time last year have proved unsatisfactory and have contributed little to the cause and nothing to team spirit..........apart from that everything is fine, once you accept that last season was a brilliant one-off which can never be repeated  :jester:
