If I were Dapol, I would schedule release for Model Rail Scotland 2018, get maximum bang for their buck.

Jim

going from tooling to completely ready in 6 months for Q3 would be pretty optimistic, Model Rail Scotland 2018 would probably be more likely!!

Just hope they improve the Quality Control from the Class 68

Hang on...these were GE and GN locos first before those men in skirts borrowed them!

Pleased see Class 21 mentioned as D6110 to D6137 were delivered new between May and December 1959 to Stratford and Ipswich. This means with one exception all the original diesel designs to East Anglia available rtr.

What was the exception?

The 'exception' maybe the earlier class 05 hunslet shunters, as Heljans model is the later one with larger wheels and a taller cab.

Hi Paul

Or the Hunslet 0-4-0 trams, or even the Drewry trams, or could be the Met -Cam lightweights, or the Wickhams units. :)

Hi Clive

Yes you are right. Thats at least 4 new diesels to look forward too then eh -who said that with diesels 'all have been done' !

Apart from the forthcoming NB types (41,29,21) , looking forward to early Metrovicks with wrap around windows-when they ran between Manchester Central

they used oil lamps too on the front to indicate train type, so no need for lights etc.

Apologies for topic drift here folks.

Paul
