It was an American DJ who said, on air, that he would "check the weather by taking a leak out of the window".......

Well, as long as a pea-souper may have been outside, he might even have come off unseen.

(That was a meta-pun, I should think...)

I am reminded of another more famous blooper on the Johnny Carson Show in the late sixties, I cannot remember who the famous Golfer was, he was interviewed with his Wife:

Carson: "Are there any superstitious things you perform before a major tournament?"

Golfer's Wife: "Oh, yes! The night before they start I always make the time to kiss his balls..."

Best, Pete.

Afternoon All

There vegetable puns are carotten...

Cold again here, and 45156 having another dose of the tummy bugs which is affecting blood sugars - had to come home from work, and now planning to rest up this afternoon.

Regards to All

On the highway to Basil-don by any chance (and in order to return to the root of today's punning)?

Morning all...

Almost down to -11°, so I'd better pick some warm clothes before I leave. I got an appointment for a MRT early this afternoon as the orthopaedist suspects a herniated disc in my neck as the cause for the aches I've been having. If it is, he said it should be fairly easily treated by way of some spinal decompression method or other. In any case, having an idea of what is wrong certainly did give me a good deal of peace of mind.

Be back later then...

Morning All,

Heavens above - it's cold this morning. -12°C :O

Definitely a morning for staying in bed. Still, no such luck!

Fingers crossed for you this afternoon Dominik - I hope it goes well.

Have a good day everyone...
