Evening.

That's not a bad looking ship Killybegs posted - looks Japanese built, or far eastern anyway?  Most modern ships are soooo ugly, I am of course stuck in the 60's and 70's for such things, the vessels I served on.

Decided not to post any train photos tonight, Debs might see me.

Windy here - the patio is looking remarkably empty - wonder where all the carp has gone?

I have just returned from being sent out to collapse the rotary dryer in case the gale bends it. Everything that was supposed to be on the patio is still there.

Andrew I can't understand why you have a  problem weighing the cat.  Presumably this is done at the vet's premises?  Simples we put the cat basket, containing the cat, on the scales and get a weight then while the vet is attending to the cat I go and weigh the empty basket - deduct one number from the other and we have the weight of the cat.

George is strange. He happily sits through the examination but the second the vet tried to put him on the scale he started freaking out. No rhyme or reason. Lifted him back on the table and calm again.

Christmas day was not a holiday in Scotland before WW2

(tiping on my tiblet still in bed)

It still wasn't a 'complete' holiday in the 1960s. As a student working in the Post Office over Christmas, I delivered mail on Christmas Day 1965, but not in years after that.

Sky is still working...

Holding up the stars well, then?

That was weird. I typed the post above as two separate posts, and submitted them separately. Does this mean that, if two of your posts have the same timestamp (to the minute), the software combines them?

I went out and replaced a couple of dustbin lids. Why was I out? Aditi was worried about Robbie being blown over. It was easier just to go out than try to explain he was more capable than I in inclement weather.
