Good morning everyone

Bright and sunny here in the northwest corner of England, the temperature is currently 18C, but rising to 24C later in the day. More work in the garden this morning, dead heading and weeding, but I won’t be outside all day, it’ll be too hot after dinner, so an hour or so in the workshop beckons.

Back later n

It's dull grey and extremely misty out there.

Similar conditions to here first up, but it has burnt back now and the sun is starting to show through.

Paper read, crossword and other puzzles done.
Various potterings to do, one of which may involve the pressure washer.

Cloudy and 15°C here, the sun should appear around lunchtime with a forecast high of 17°C.

The plan is to go in the garden shortly until coffee time, then hopefully sorting out some Swiss photos and a bit of modelling.

I may go and look at a shop which sells plants and DIY stuff later, I will take my vote to the post.  There are five candidates, so far I've received leaflets from the two main parties and I have seen one poster in someones front window.

i watched the final episode of the French series of Maigret on TPTV last night, as it started I thought the actor playing Maigret looked a bit ill, it turned out he (Bruno Cremer) had throat cancer and his lines were spoken by someone else and dubbed.

I watched some of the football, I don't know why I bothered.  I don't think either team really turned up.

Morning all from Estuary-Land. Another day to stay indoors out of the heat. Didn't get much sleep last night due to the heat. When I got up this morning between seven and eight the bedroom thermometer was reading 27C. I came downstairs the temperature in the lounge was a more comfortable 22C.

Equines are a distinct existential threat to humanity.

Snakes and spiders will try and avoid you if they can, horses have no such qualms!

The dream .

Tourists flock to London and Horse Guards Parade to admire the soldiers in their

striking uniforms mounted on their magnificent black horses , they jostle for position

to get a photo to show this so  they can treasure it and look fondly on in the future .

The reality .

Evening all from Estuary-Land. Almost 10pm and the temperature is still 20C. and not likely to drop much more due to the cloud cover. Existing on salads for the last couple of days and I'll have to get some more tomorrow. Time for another cold drink, be back later.

Gareth Jenkins would’ve done well to remember he worked for Fujitsu, and NOT for the Post Office….so he had valid reason to refuse their “requests” (apart from it being plain wrong anyway)
