RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted February 2, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 2, 2012 (Late) morning all and we're lingering freezing point but nice and dry so no hard frost on anything and now plenty of sunshine. And the boiler's still working so indoor warmth is far better that it has bean recently.

Well, as long as a pea-souper may have been outside, he might even have come off unseen. (That was a meta-pun, I should think...)

trisonic
I am reminded of another more famous blooper on the Johnny Carson Show in the late sixties, I cannot remember who the famous Golfer was, he was interviewed with his Wife: Carson: "Are there any superstitious things you perform before a major tournament?" Golfer's Wife: "Oh, yes! The night before they start I always make the time to kiss his balls..." Best, Pete.

RMweb Premium NGT6 1315 Posted February 3, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 3, 2012 Morning all... Almost down to -11°, so I'd better pick some warm clothes before I leave. I got an appointment for a MRT early this afternoon as the orthopaedist suspects a herniated disc in my neck as the cause for the aches I've been having. If it is, he said it should be fairly easily treated by way of some spinal decompression method or other. In any case, having an idea of what is wrong certainly did give me a good deal of peace of mind. Be back later then...
