RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted June 22 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 22 Good morning everyone I’m not going to collect Ava this morning, she’s being dropped off here instead. Our first task will be to finishing making the chocolate orange cheesecake that I began making yesterday afternoon. After that there are no firm plans, but I’m sure we’ll find something to do. I’m also a land owner, as in, I own the land on which my house is built. When we bought the house in 1980, we had to rent the land for £4.25 a year. We were given the opportunity to buy the land, sometime in the late 90’s and as such, we’ve been living on the land rent free ever since. The down side is the land doesn’t have a ‘TITLE’ although I sometimes call myself lord of BSW towers! Back later. Brian

Remember those public information films with the bloke connecting his powerdrill by shoving the bare wires into a socket, held in by matchsticks, with predictable results? Wasn't there one about wrapping a blown fuse in the foil from a packet of fags too? They don't make 'em like they used to!

As BaZ pointed out, Crewe soon disabuses you of the notion that they are called "Rollers" or just "Rolls"* Of course you can buy a used 1980s RR Silver Spirit for as little as £12,000. It's lazy thinking (and class envy) to classify them as all the same. There are some very, very UHNWI who I think could deserve such disapprobation (such as Denise Coates [£7.47 billion]: the co-founder, majority shareholder and co-chief executive of Bet365, one of the world’s largest online gambling companies - a business that really does exploit the poor), but most of the UK's UHNWI individuals got there under their own steam and there are those who are doing their bit (https://patrioticmillionaires.uk/who-we-are) "despite" being rich.... 6 2

I was never a fan of weird milk until Covid arrived and we had to buy heaps of food in case we got locked down and couldn't go out to forage. I bought some longlife Soy milk which I figured would be used as a last resort. One morning I tried it on my breakfast cereal just to test how bad my Last Days would be and it was surprisingly not bad. I then had it in coffee and it was awful but when it comes to cereal I've got to the point where if I run out of Soy and have to use cow milk it seems rather unpleasant and thin in comparison. Soy Milk: 4 stars. Edited June 22 by monkeysarefun 12
