Tip machine on its side... Grovel down and find the pipe run is completely different to online machines. Instead of pushing a couple of clips out, you have to take the back off to access the clips. Done. At water pump end, remove water pump, then you can access the drainpipe. Not fitted with hose clips as per video but a push fitted internal clip.. Remove pipe, undo joint in middle of pipe more internal clips. Take entire pipe outside, hose out pipe. While I have access, take wall mounted U bend off and hose that out as well.. Reassemble, the above in reverse order, I ain't typing that again. Put machine on rinse cycle Machine fills, Put machine on drain and spin cycle Machine drains. Three quarters of that list does sound a bit of a w@nk. In fact you cannot get your Australian citizenship if your car has stupid visor stickers, unnecessary spoilers or excessive striping. However, sports exhausts are another matter entirely and in fact are a vital part in fighting climate change. For instance the ute has an aftermarket 4 inch quadruple Cat Back system, which has been accredited by the Greens Party, I reckon. It adds 28KW to my power output which means I can get to places faster and therefore reduce my carbon footprint if I put my foot down - due to spending less time with the engine running. In fact the faster I go, the more environmentally friendly I am. 1
monkeysarefun
22 hours ago, polybear said: Zurich’s cantonal police stopped four UK nationals who were speeding on a Swiss motorway in their sports cars. The police received several calls from other motorists saying that four sports car were driving “at extremely high speeds” on the A1 motorway in the direction of Bern. Police patrol units intercepted the offenders, who turned out to be tourists from the UK, near the municipality of Würenlos. They were reportedly driving at over 200 km/h, which is 80 km/h over the posted speed limit. The speeders, aged between 25 and 50, were arrested and their vehicles confiscated. “After being questioned by the police, the four men were handed over to the public prosecutor's office,” Zurich police said in a press release. They are now awaiting sentencing and to find out how much they will have to pay to get their vehicles back and whether they will actually be allowed to drive them home. What kind of penalties await the speeders? According to the Swiss Road Traffic Act, driving at 200 km/h in a 120-km/h zone (the usual speed limit on the country’s motorways) is considered a serious infraction, which can result in license revocation, though this applies to residents of Switzerland only. However, motorists caught ‘seriously’ speeding on Swiss roads will be slapped with a fine of at least several hundred francs (and in many cases even more), in addition to court fees. The fine can also be converted into a jail sentence, if offenders can't, or choose not to, pay. The four men will eventually return to the UK (though, unlike their driving, Swiss justice system moves slowly), but consequences for those residing in Switzerland can be even more dire" The Bathurst Mount Panorama circuit is a public road apart from 5 times a year when its used as a racetrack. It has a 60kmh limit on it every other day of the year, but it is such a magnet for those trying to relive the Bathurst race that the police have an almost permanent setup on Conrod straight in order to get those that think they can give the 325kmh speed record down there a nudge in their roadgoing car. For those who REALLY want to get pinged by the cops, choose a holiday weekend like the one just gone (The @iL Dottorebirthday weekend) when double demerit points just increase the certainty that theHighway Patrol will be lurking around every bend and fast straight section. Setting up a speed trap on Conrod straight on a long weekend is just shooting fish in a barrel. https://www.drive.com.au/news/maserati-caught-bathurst-triple-limit/ The monetary fine isn't mentioned in the link but as well as losing his cars registration papers for 3 months the fine will be in the order of £1850 if convicted of all charges. He'll also have to transport his car back the 3750km from Bathurst back to Perth. ( it is a large country we have here!) Given that he cant drive it he'll need a car transporter. 11 2 1

RMweb Gold Popular Post DaveF Posted June 19 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 19 (edited) I went to the Quayside this morning to see the Spanish Galleon. It wasn't long after low tide so although I took photos, especially of details, I decided to go a second time later on at high tide. I ended up with about 60 photos, a few are below. The local sailing ship, Williams II, was also moving around the harbour and later went out to sea. It was interesting to see "old" and "new" sailing ships together. The Spanish ship, Galeon Andalucia, does trips where for a few hundred Euros you can go on a journey between 2 ports. It was interesting to see how relatively primitive ships were in those days. I am assuming the cannons she has on board are replicas. As I expected parking was easy as you will see from one of the photos. There are no parking restrictions on the Quayside even though a road runs along it. It was lovely and sunny both morning and afternoon but the breeze coming off the sea is still a bit fresh, I was just about warm enough without a jacket. On the way home this afternoon I spent a little while at the beach and saw Williams II coming back into the harbour. Apart from that I have rung my bank to check a couple of e mails from them are genuine, one about a financial review, I will take up that offer, the other was a second e mail about changes to my credit card later in the summer. The man at the bank end of the phone was very helpful and it didn't take too long. It is reassuring they were both real. Soon it will be tea time then I might see if Scotland can actually play football. RMweb Premium Popular Post polybear Posted June 19 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted June 19 Bear here..... ...Who dragged himself down The Little Wooden Hill at very, very sillyo'clock (0445am) in order to hit Morrysuns prior to a fun day at the Warehouse.... All was going rather well until I went to start Mickey at 0640....and heard "clickclickclickclick...." BluddyRattin'Piggin'Turdycurses. It seems that a certain BozoBear (who went out yesterday afternoon to check that the number plate light still worked after the rear bumper had been danglin' off the back of Mickey a few days ago) managed to leave the f. lights on all night..... Does Mickey have a "Lights On" Warning Beeper? Oh yes.... Now if Mickey was fitted with an audible warning that said something like "Oi, tw@t - you've left the bluddy lights on. Do you REALLY want a flat battery, or WHAT? F.Wit......" then maybe, just maybe would BozoBear get the message.... So I called the AA, expecting them to say something like "We'll be with you sometime in the next four hours"....but no, 40 minutes. That's a Tick. And true to their word they were there at 07:20 (whilst waiting Bear hooked up a battery charger, not that it had much chance to do much); the AA Man used a start battery to start Mickey, then the battery & charging was checked and Bear was on his way within 15 minutes. Another Tick. What's even better is Mickey started quite happily for the journey home later in the day as well - yep, another Tick. Numerous shops & places visited - lots of stuff delivered & collected. What's even better is The Boss has secured a supply of rather yummy "posh" Donuts for free as well - just don't ask how many calories each one is 😱. Even better still is the fact that it was The Boss's Birthday today - which meant a yummy choccy cake chaser. Huge Tick..... Not only that, she'd brought in a box of posh choccies (Hotel Chocolat) for a certain Bear, as a "thank you" for working four days last week 😃. Can't ever recall such a thing happening at the G.E. in 30 years....perhaps Puppers can though...... I also discovered that the in-built "Fitness" jobbie in the iPhone is A Pile of 💩. How do I know? Well Bear had the job of climbing up n' down an outside Fire Escape Staircase 40-ish times in order to carry down something like 40 boxes of documentation (each box weighing somewhat more than those boxes of photocopier paper (1000 A4 sheets?) used in businesses - so "quite heavy"). And the Fitness Jobbie? Well apparently I've climbed "4 Flights"..... The battery charger is now hooked up to Mickey's Battery again (that outside Socket installed as a part of The Great Hall Refurb was a rather good idea) and will charge overnight, just to make sure the battery is fully charged once more. Morrysuns? Never did get there..... BG

Well worth a visit. Yes I have and it is very good indeed. I've known HMS Trincomalee on and off for over 65 years, back in the late 1950s she was T.S. Foudroyant, a training ship moored in Portsmouth harbour for school parties, Dad used to take groups from his school, I went too (as did Mum). I've a lot of happy weeks (and longer) on board, sleeping in hammocks and sailing small boats and rowing each day. She looked very different then as many alterations had been made over the years, she looks much better as she is now fully restored. All well and good....but...on the way back in, I noticed the front seating area needed "cleaning up" too. A quick brush over to clear ash tree twigs (blown over from next door), other dead leaves, general muck and small bits of other rubbish...but that only made the darkened moss between the stones look even worse...so...half an hour later, most of it had been scraped out with the edges of a small shovel that had been left outside. <<Now what?>> MrS comes round from the garden with mower and strimmer desiccating the daisies along the footpath before I had finished clearing out the mossy bits! The grass cuttings and daisy flower heads were brushed up, the rest of the moss cleaned out, and I went indoors to deal with a runny nose! Hayfever, poop!
