It also has some surprising wildlife facts.

The Amazonian Tapir is the only other mammal  apart from man that has had its fingerprints discovered at a crime scene.

The Ecuadorian Two-toed sloth, despite having only two toes, thinks in hexidecimal.

The Capybaras, despite being the largest rodent in the world, has never been caught in a mouse trap.

The Blue Footed Booby despite its name actually has no breasts.

Also, the length of the Tapiers "male organ" is 60% of its body length, drags along the ground and is often trodden upon, to the Tapiers distress.

Or so I've been told...

BIN Day...

BINs all sorted, though it was a challenge having to get them out there after we'd returned from the theatre...

Yesterday evening an excellent performance of "Dail M for Murder", great cast and quite well presented set. The English accents were so-so, except for the inspector who had a pretty convincing/repectable "London plod" version!

Today, Mrs off to have her fangs checked, later I'm headed for happy hour and then choir rehearsal.

13c was the high yesterday, broke all kinds of records around the state. Today +1c and sunny at BIN time, 7c the forecast high.

Later...

I spent several hours chopping up two fallen trees, chopping down a tree that wasn't going to last much longer with a half eaten away bottom , and chopping up some brambles.

Illustrating one of the many (many!) peculiarities of the English language - you chop trees down and then you chop them up.

Thinking about RMwebbers in the southern hemisphere, just to show the standard of my thinking these days, if we accept that North is the top and planet Earth goes around the sun in an anti-clockwise direction does that mean everyone down under is going round the sun in a clockwise direction?

Well if we are going to play the big boy version of my dad is bigger than yours and using voting rights as the basis for physical geography, I will raise your Norfolk Island  with Madeira and the Azores (Portuguese autonomous states), French Guyana, Guadalupe, Mayotte, Martinique and Reunion (French departements overseas -DOM).  Not only with voting rights within Europe but also appear on the map of the EU as printed on bank notes.  😁

The French overseas territories robbed British OAP's in France of winter fuel payments.  Apparently the inclusion of such warm places in the average winter temperature calculations ns by HMG DWP, skewed the figures upwards above the cut off point.
