RMweb Gold Popular Post DaveF Posted September 29, 2023 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 29, 2023 Happy birthday to Mrs Baz and Mrs GDB. So far today things have gone to plan - I am up, had breakfast, done a few jobs and dealt with e mails. Will the good run continue? Next will be a quick walk to the field and back. After that I need to think about ideas for the church website as I have been told there is a meeting with a local firm this afternoon who provide various web services and is already used by other places. What would help would be if someone could actually tell me what they want as opposed to vague comments, usually when I don't have a notebook with me to write things down. On Sunday I am having a meeting with two people who are supposed to work with me, I don't think they know what is wanted either. Doubtless we will spend a lot of time doing it only for others to decide they wanted something different all along. It feels just like work used to be. The rest of the day may be more sorting out and trying to throw things away from the garage. David 10 2

RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted September 29, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 29, 2023 (edited) Good morning everyone A bright, sunny, breezy start to the day here in England’s northwest corner, where the temperature is a cool 12C. I’ll shortly be heading out to the butchers for the weekly meat rations and a pork pie for my dinner. Then I’ll go the the Trafford Centre for a few more bits and pieces, after the that, the rest of the day is my own. So the plan is to head downstairs to the office and tweak the layout plan to add the gas works to it. Birthday wishes to both Mrs GDB and Mrs BAZ. Back later. We were up early but headed for the little market in Néré, Cakes were bought then we joined two friends for coffee and chin wag. Now back home. Not much on the agenda apart from sourcing some small copperclad strand apchat to some friends. Regards to all. Jamie 17

Given its the Top End its probably the only bit of it that you can go in without being attacked by crocodiles. The Arafura Sea is a stunning sapphire, it looks very inviting but you darent put a toe in. 9 minutes ago, Hroth said: According to the quiz, I'm either a Common Earthworm Seven-spot Ladybird Don't know which worries me the most.... RMweb Gold Popular Post roundhouse Posted September 29, 2023 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 29, 2023 Good morning. A year ago today AndrewC left this world. Tomorrow me and my other half meet with Liz C (and the other person who last saw him at the Dutch beer festival) in the Bermondsey beer mile in memory of Andrew. No trains for us tomorrow so its a bus to Croydon then Overground to Canada Water, Jubilee line to Bermondsey and then leave late afternoon so that we can make it back home at a sensible time. Should be a good day.

But we will have to wait between twenty and twenty five years before it grows again. I'm also sure that someone else is involved with this act of vandalism, almost certainly an adult. I don't think a 16-year-old would have the skills and ability to have cut down the tree on his own. 9 1

Someone on the radio suggested a fitting punishment (or at least a part of): They have to plant 30,000 new trees. 18 1
RMweb Premium Popular Post Dave Hunt Posted September 29, 2023 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 29, 2023 Greetings from a wolf spider. This morning I was offered a late cancellation afternoon appointment with a ‘musculoskeletal practitioner’ (physiotherapist ?) to discuss my spinal trouble pending next week’s appointment with a consultant. Exactly what that will achieve I’m not sure but as I don’t want to upset anyone from the NHS I’ve accepted. It does mean rearranging my day somewhat but as I was half expecting it I had avoided making any definite plans. Jill has decided that we can combine it with a visit to the recycling site so my cup runneth over Many happy returns to Mrs. Baz and Mrs. GDB. RMweb Gold Popular Post grandadbob Posted September 29, 2023 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 29, 2023 Pretty sure that someone of 16 brought up in the farming life or other country ways would be capable of wielding a chainsaw. For example, Rueben, the eldest son of the Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen was fixing and driving tractors and other farm machinery when he was quite young. 8 8
