Porcy Mane
What's your story? Modelling through the night and then going to bed at dawn? Couldn't sleep... and a box van to finsh for a show this weekend. Still up btw... and dull crappy weather in Durham but it's dry.
RMweb Gold BoD Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 10, 2011 Oh dear. Is it something you ate Not sure Don. Could be, but can't decide what. We have also been visiting MiL in hospital so may have picked up something there.
RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 10, 2011 Not sure Don. Could be, but can't decide what. We have also been visiting MiL in hospital so may have picked up something there. My advice, lots of fluids (water not milk), eat plain boiled rice, and Imodium as appropriate, Tony
DonBradley
Best wishes to all afflicted, tummy bugs, insomniacs and organizers. I'm glad that I am not partaking of any of your sufferings. GOOD LUCK.

RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 10, 2011 05.00 this morning - my Farish class 57 has another coat of Yellow on the body sides and front. Now just need the Network rail logo and numbers.

RMweb Premium 45156 Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 10, 2011 Afternoon All I had to go home the other day via the Dr's as I had the same problem as BoD - I thought it was due to some of the tablets I'm on, but the Dr said it was "a virus" and just to take immodium, which stopped me in my tracks, I must say...... Other than that, not a lot to say other than Regards to All Stewart

RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 10, 2011 Magnolia! The "Real Estate" section of the above seems to describe magnolia rather well. Very popular with builders, so I claim in my case it must be genetic as my mother's family were builders and decorators. I painted the ceilings Almond White and that is quite different! I'm glad I used matt paint for the ceilings otherwise I'd have got the decorators equivalent of snow blindness. I did reasonably well returning the glassware to the display cabinet yesterday. It would appear that I got most things on the correct shelf but not artistically arranged. Tony
RMweb Gold BoD Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 10, 2011 (edited) Strange. I always thought of magnolia as a sort of light cream. Googled Dulux and there's is. http://www.dulux.co.uk/colour/magnolia Edited November 10, 2011 by BoD
RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 10, 2011 I did use Dulux magnolia on the walls but it doesn't look like the slightly pink hue that the Dulux chart looks on my laptop. I'd describe it as a creamy off white under electric light but less creamy under sunlight.
RMweb Premium skipepsi Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 10, 2011 Bland is the correct description of magnolia!
RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted November 10, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 10, 2011 Bland is the correct description of magnolia! The recently laid carpets are light brown, the new furniture will be "mocha" colour. I think I must be a fan of bland as I got quite excited about the shade variation between the walls and radiators (they weren't magnolia, they were "House White" (as was Robbie after he got too close). DonBradley
Hello all, Was totally stuck in front of the TV yesterday afternoon watching the unbelievable progress of the cricket test between S.A. and Australia. 23 wickets in the day, parts of all four innings. If I moved from the chair another wicket fell. The game is being played here in Cap Town, but I am watching at home. Three days still to go but it may not last even through today. Thanks for your comment BoD, but the game was turned in it's head immediately thereafter. Forecast is partly cloudy today but right now it is cloudless blue Sunny sky.. Robert
Morning All, It is yet to get light here, but it looks like the kind of morning where you want to stay inside! No chance of that however, I'm off to Belgium. Therefore, I probably won't be on for the next couple of days. Have a good day, and a good weekend everyone! RMweb Premium NGT6 1315 Posted November 11, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 11, 2011 Morning all. Thankfully, the two courses I have on my schedule for Friday aren't very hard, so this means a nice send-off into the weekend, so to speak. It would appear to be fairly clear outside and not too nippy at almost 8°, but is predicted to slowly turn cooler over the next few days. Cheers everyone! RMweb Premium skipepsi Posted November 11, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 11, 2011 Morning all, failed to see any cricket at all despite getting my TV from the mafia 'alledgedly'. I just love the way this computer tells me my backup plan 'you have no backup plan' if only it corrected my spelling and grammar so well.
RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted November 11, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 11, 2011 You're forgiven, Tony, so long as your cars aren't beige. Best, Pete. I never had a beige car though Aditi had a beige Ford Escort about 20 years ago. My current vehicle is "Santorini Black". Sounds more exciting than magnolia. Morning all. Rather damp but not cold here. Model railway activity today will probably be restricted to sorting out something to play with at the club meeting tomorrow.
