RMweb Gold Popular Post grandadbob Posted April 6, 2023 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted April 6, 2023 Evenin' each, Yippee! I had a call from the doctor and the pill problem is sorted. I'm now back on the pills they took me off of 2 months ago because I'd been on them for too long! However as there is a nationwide shortage of the new pills I can go back on these temporarily and the good thing is I've still got a supply of them so don't have to wait for a delivery. Bangers & mash have been enjoyed but no wine, I'm having a night off. Yet again nothing much on the box tonight so we'll probably watch a repeat of Vera. 20

RMweb Gold grandadbob Posted April 6, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 6, 2023 I've never been a fan of Pink Floyd but as someone who has tried over the years and not coming anywhere near being able to call myself a proper guitarist I have got the fullest admiration for Dave Gilmour's skills. 17 1

Indeed, "technically" the whole of April is considered the snow season, but usually by now, even if we do get some, it's after the snow pack has disappeared. This year, we've plenty on the ground still but the sun today is working hard to deplete that. The occasional light snow shower/fall happens through the end of April many years, but quickly disappears. 12

You will probably not be happy to know that the best hot cross buns in this area are baked by Cobs Bread, the North American manifestation of Bakers Delight, which you will almost certainly know of. They do have a very few locations on the US, but none anywhere near you, unfortunately. 11 1 6

RMweb Premium Popular Post TheQ Posted April 6, 2023 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted April 6, 2023 Evening Awl, SWMBO brother and wife reappeared at 18:00 ish, though they did stop at a supermarket and pick up a Chinese meal once near here. He's not happy, handed keys over to woman from flat company, who said there was no problem. But while driving back he gets email saying he owes a month's rent, and a deep clean of flat.. Since he paid rent a month in advance and never missed a payment, how do they work that one out? Typical landlord company trying it on. I love hot cross buns... But being a diabetic.... Crazy golf was a regular event during our summer holiday trips until 1971, from 71 onwards, holidays just meant going home. We found the remote for the big TV and cables, after a retune all is well. 96 TV channels 30 radio, and a few data.. I need to work out how to set it up on the internet once in the house it looks like we'll need a WiFi adapter. Not sure if it has a PVR system built in, if it hasn't then I'll get a WiFi PVR for it. Goodnight Awl.

Popular Post tigerburnie
I worked with quite a lot of bands, they tried to teach me to play the Bass and Rhythm guitar, with little success, I even wrote a poor song about the Sidmouth Folk Festival, but I didn't stick at it. I was a pretty good drummer(not my words), I could sing the blues and play a harmonica(still do now and again for my own entertainment), but what I really enjoyed was sound engineering, both on the road and in the studio, wanted to produce records, but then so did around another million people so it didn't happen. 7

RMweb Premium Popular Post BSW01 Posted April 6, 2023 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted April 6, 2023 Good evening everyone I had quite a busy morning in the garden today, although it did start to rain several times, but thankfully it stopped moments later. Charlie did call round this afternoon, but only stayed an hour, so we all sat in the living room and chatted, which meant that unfortunately, there was no workshop time today. This was a little disappointing, but it’s always nice to chat with him and it meant that Sheila saw a lot more of him than usual. However, there was some good news is that this afternoon, as the postman dropped off the results for my recent Pooh sticks game and I’ve been gathering all clear. This morning’s garden play list was; Steely Dan - Can’t Buy A Thrill Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon I saw Pink Floyd play once, just after they’d released ’Animals’. The set was split into 2 halves, the first half was the whole of WYWH, the second half was Animals, and the encore was Money and Time from DSOTM, it was a great night that was.

It is possible they were played in my vicinity without me realising who they were, if so I never thought Hmmm I like the sound of this, I wonder who it is. I had no interest in music until the ABC radio station Double Jay launched in 1975 which I guess would have been the equivalent of Brisbane's 3RRR? The first song played when it launched was "You Only Like Me Cos I'm Good In Bed" by Skyhooks which was banned from airplay so if anyone was going to play them I guess they would have. Commercial radio alternatives were strictly Top 40 only so they did flog that PF "kids chanting about education" song for a while, the pimply DJ even gave it a spin at one of our school dances, but it cleared the dance floor pretty quick - it wasn't a song to pogo or do The Funky Chicken to, he had to entice everyone back with a replay of "Nutbush City Limits". The late 70's and early 80s for me were mainly local bands, I think we did live in a bit of a self-sufficient (some may say insular!) alternative universe from the rest of the world back then when it came to culture and cars, certainly Australian bands like The Angels, Split Enz, Cold Chisel, Midnight OIl, Skyhooks, Radio Birdman, The Radiators and so on were huge and dominated most record collections (or cassette collections as it was at the time!) , and most kids dream car was a local - either a Monaro or Falcon V8, or a Chrysler Charger if you were a maverick or a "new Australian". 1 hour ago, New Haven Neil said: A good general Floyd primer...
