RMweb Premium Popular Post TheQ Posted February 13, 2023 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted February 13, 2023 Sadly I think Philj W has a cold similar to the one I had a couple of months back, it has a trailing cough that keeps returning for weeks.. In other news , The Microwave has landed, cost only one Deltic, but added books and other purchases make that a total of 1 .5 Deltics. First Sheringham, sadly SmithS has Monday closed, so no muddling stuff was purchased, though Smiths round the corner was open, but no copies of MRJ were available. One book purchased from a nearby shop. MRJ found in local newsagents. Second Cromer, sadly Buoys Toys also closed, so off to our favourite 2nd hand book shop, 5 books purchased but none on // bits of metal. A stop in a cafe was required due to chilling conditions , we found it was doggy friendly which as good to know. On the look out for a wool shop for SWMBO ( recommended by Friends), we found another secondhand book shop slightly more expensive, but a good range of books, 5 more bought. One on // bits of metal, and previous // bits of wood.. all horse powered. Wool shop found, 10 different balls of very strange wool bought by SWMBO luckily at 50p a ball. On the way back to the car we found... https://doggiediner.co.uk/ Got back, took Ben the cross legged Collie out for his long walk, Had soup for lunch, Set up microwave, Now need eyelid inspection.

Our friends both have the dreaded two red lines today so there’s no chance of being ok by mid-week. A week Upon the Hill of Strawberries it is, then. Dr. SWMBO has taken herself off to the National Gallery this morning and instructed me that the house must be clean by the time she returns. I guess that’s my day spoken for. I’ll be back later. I’m just going to utter the name of that well-known location on the River Lea (or Lee) called Bow Locks. I've been there. Quite a few times I'm sad to say - physically and metaphorically for those interested. 14
Grizz
Please forgive my ignorance…..Question….What is the current Deltic exchange rate? Or are we talking about the Deltic Standard? So is it similar to Pounds and Pence? with Deltics and say….erm….Class 25s? 7

Nice to see Donk again, I was thinking it had been a while since we'd seen him. He may be busy with those balloons, we seem to have had one a day for the last three days. Back on the ground, we have the first of our yellow crocuses out. I've planted a few clumps in what I hoped would be suitable spots, this one is by the side and partly underneath a small lavender bush. One squirrel was spotted this morning on our peanut feeder, didn't stay for too long but just sampled a few while upside down - they taste better apparently - and then scampered off, down the tree and then 'inspected the estate' via the rocks and walls. Had a sip of water from a birdbath, then went to investigate the holly. First time I've seen one in the garden for a while. A little progress made earlier, two books sold earlier, so it's time to pack them. RM seem to be having a promotion atm on some services and with free collection. Though as per Bear's warning, if they lose these, I should be OK for stamps for a while. If you want squirrels I'd be quite happy to share mine. The little so and so's munch my bulbs- the ones paid for with my hard earned muular. 7 1

Popular Post Ian Abel
Morning all... Busy weekend, some personal items accomplished, moving ever closer to getting the indoor layout space sorted so we can MAYBE make a start at recreating a layout <phew> Jemma had Whitney over early Saturday. She was off to Heathrow and return, then she and Brendan are on vacation, heading to Edinburgh tomorrow or Wednesday. So we have Whitney for about 10 days. Sorted out the bar area in our basement/family room and relocated the wine cooler onto some newly built shelving - job done! Some clearing of the ice/snow remaining on the driveway in preparation for the storage unit that's showing up Thursday. Sunday, somewhat relaxed. Mrs off to a book club theatre performance leaving me to walk Whitney and do more pratting around in the basement. Managed to wrench my wrist doing "something" down there, so now taking some over-the-counter pain killers. Also, a panic with Meagan/Trevor and their dog Otis, who had a seizure, so they were at the vet ER almost all day. Today, Mrs with Meagan and Otis at the regular vet to see what he Otis needs medium-long term. He's older (15) so I think we're going to need to provide plenty of support for Meagan soon, Otis is her baby. 😒 Weather cooperating with the ice removal on the driveway, -3c first thing and sunny supposed to have highs of 3 - 4c next few days. Onward.

Mr and Mrs Peacock were there ... Mr Peacock got quite friendly and I wasn't even scoffing biscuits 😀 Whilst there it would have been rude not to nose in a couple of the hangars The Arrow Active has always been a favourite (there are so many!) aeroplane of Puppers it's clearly having a bit of attention. RMweb Gold Popular Post Tony_S Posted February 13, 2023 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 13, 2023 We were going to Cambridge tomorrow but the friend we were meeting suggested delaying by a week as it is half term this week. He was out somewhere today and it was quite busy so thought it would be quieter next week. We will now probably have a walk at Hyde Hall tomorrow. I am sure even if there are lots of school age visitors we will still be able to get a cup of tea without too much trauma.
