RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted February 11, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 11, 2021 Evening all from Estuary-Land. Getting a bit windy outside now, hopefully there's no more snow tonight though last nights snow has disappeared except for that in the places that get no sun. 32 minutes ago, New Haven Neil said: On the twin thing, a friend's parents were twins who married twins! Kept it in the family so to speak, but legally.... If they are both identical twins any offspring although first cousins would genetically be the same as siblings as each of their parents share the same DNA as their twin. 2 2 1

You weren't Vivian (The Young Ones) in a former life are you? Well, I did once have a pair of tartan bondage trousers which I wore with a dayglo orange t shirt with images of black barb wire on. Oh and a pair Dockers. I do like punk music but I’m too young to have appreciated it first time round. I have seen John Lydon with Public Image Limited. Also seen The Stanglers, The Buzzcocks, Stiff Little Fingers (many times) and The Cramps. Didn’t seen many Mohicans in the audience though, all skin heads by now! Regarding Vivian, I don’t think so, but he was a medical student, a bit like Flavio?

Baz I think we played well and had a couple of great chances in the first half and on another day we could have won it. The lad who scored with the header for us in the 2008 match, Kayode Odejayi, lives in the same village as me and we passed him outside our house last week. He a really nice lad, offering help to villages during the first lockdown, but as a striker 4 goals in 72 matches isn’t great. Robert 15
laurenceb
Most of the celebs i have met I would want to fit with concrete overshoes and chuck in deep water. There was a pair of twins (sisters & brothers who married and the brides were both expecting at the same time. As it happened they both delivered the same night, luckily one boy one girl. The medics were thankfull that they were one of each! Legally the childen were cousins, boilogicaly they were siblings. Popular Post Erichill16
Evening All, Back again despite losing, as I don’t think we played bad and certainly weren’t an embarrassment. Been for a walk today but not one of our usual ones. We walked down Worsborough bank (part of the Woodhead route) as far as Wombwell and back and as an old railway line the gradient was very gentle.(for walkers not trains!) Im not confident enough to ring my accountant ‘friend’ up as I don’t want to assume he’s not happy or he’s not got any ‘proper’ friends. We get on very well but I’m not sure if that’s his professionalism shining through. I did message him throughout the match and we enjoyed a bit of banter. He is/was actually quite a good footballer in fact his brother made about 200 appearances for the mighty Reds and probably played about thirty games in the premier league for us. I digress. As for tomorrow, as bil is taking mil and mils sister to Sheffield for their jabs in the afternoon, SWMBO and myself will be either entertaining or home tutoring the nephews. It doesn’t bother me which as I hate doing both. Hopefully Sydney will be coming with them. I think some domestic chores will also be carried out as the house has been neglected for the last few days. My cup truly runneth over. On that note I will bid you all a goodnight, Robert. RMweb Premium Popular Post BSW01 Posted February 11, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted February 11, 2021 Good evening everyone Like yesterday, today has never really warmed up, once again it reached a high of 1C and some of the snow that fell on Tuesday is still here, thankfully it’s not much more than 0.5mm deep! Anyway, onto today’s work, the chairs are now finished, they will now remain in the cellar over the weekend so that the paint can harden off properly. They will then be brought upstairs and a new home will then be found them. Once I’d finished the chairs, I had a few more hours to kill, so I continued working on the artwork for the TPO decals, this work is also now complete. I’ve drawn the decals around about 6 - 8 times larger than the finished items will be. The reason for this is twofold; 1/ it’s far easier to work on larger drawings than to work on very small drawings, the mistakes are easier to spot and rectify. 2/ when printed in high resolution onto plain paper, they are much easier to scan. Once they have been scanned, they can be reduced to the finished size and then arranged on the page to reduce the amount of waste, before finally printing onto clear decal paper. I know it sounds a bit fiddly, but it easier than trying to work in a size where I can hardly see the fine text. I did try enlarging the work on the screen, but the text became blurred and I also lost some detail when I reduced down to normal, particularly when using outlined lettering, as the lining width, will only decrease to a certain point and then remains the same width. Once the lettering starts to get really small, it looks ridiculous. 24 2

Not much yet, small flakes and drizzle - 'snizzle' maybe? Worst is yet to come over the week end, 8" or so ... We had a trace a couple of weeks ago. Local news this evening is now in full 'snow watch' mode - live remotes everywhere, all them saying "it's still raining here", and interviewing people outside supermarkets and hardware shops to see what 'snowbound' supplies they have procured. As usual the forecast is highly variable with all the microclimates. 30 miles south in the valley may see a little freezing rain, while downtown might see several inches of snow. Meanwhile there are blizzard warnings up even for low altitudes in the Columbia River gorge. My patio thermometer reads 32.2°F, so not freezing yet and the precipitation is unmistakably liquid - for now, as we approach sunset. The coldest temperatures of the season are forecast for tomorrow with a sub-freezing high temperature. 7
