Our estate was built on the former gas works there is still some gas supply apparatus round the other side. It is now “former” too as a method of decommissioning was successfully deployed. Someone once broke my cousins' nose while the other person was being arrested.. somehow he fell and broke an arm... I have still got a little "inoculations" book from the UK Government to record my jabs in. I t is small and very shiny... but when I went to see the Nurse at the Marie Celeste for my "boosters" she said they only do them if you are going abroad.. so if I need yellow fever/typhoid/ various others I have to start all over again. At the time they had stopped giving tetanus shots even if you were injured.. they seem to have returned to the old way on that one now. I need to check my Rabies shot date as I don't want to get that to start again.. had to get that from Superdrug as the Marie Celeste doesn't do that jab... I told him my wife was the only immigrant in our electoral ward so was he implying she had any connection with crime? I then pointed out that with one immigrant and virtually no crime why was he campaigning on such platform? I suggested potholes would be a better topic. When I lived in a village abutting the pre-1974 county boundary a person from the "Other Side" of the valley was allocated a council bungalow there. He was commonly referred to by the natives as the Illegal Immigrant. Brian We stayed with friends in a small town in Connecticut. Their three cats were strictly indoors as they would have been taken by coyotes. There were rumours about a cougar that were written off as urban myth until it got hit by a truck. There's a reason for that, and over time, it will be addressed. For now it's a good reason not to trust facial recognition software. When Matthew was working in East London one summer the government were trialling their “Go Home” vans. Border Agency staff (with police officers nearby) were “randomly” stopping people coming out of the tube station to ask about residency status. They weren’t using facial recognition software just stopping people who looked brown. A lot of technology advances at a phenomenal rate. When I was at uni I rented a pc so I could keep it up to date I watched The Net the other day, I remember watching it when it first came out and thinking how futuristic it was.
