RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted February 5, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 5, 2021 Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Still afternoon to me having spent most of it on eyelid inspection. Just watched the weather report. On Sunday we are to get not yellow snow but orange snow, everywhere south and east of the M25/A12, and its expected to last until Monday. A lot of queuing at Tess Coe's lunchtime as a consequence but at least the shelves were well stocked. Now tea has brewed its be back later. 1 6

Speaking of which this was the view at the Hill of Strawberries at Silly o’Clock this morning. Showing - as if we didn’t already know - why transport staff on duty are legally exempt from wearing face coverings. I haven’t seen this photographed before. I was wearing my travel-mask (which differs to my at-work one) and aimed the phone’s camera through the briefly-removed specs which had swiftly fogged up. 17 2
RMweb Gold Popular Post grandadbob Posted February 5, 2021 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 5, 2021 Evenin' each, I had the great pleasure of seeing Toyah starring in the title role in a play called Trafford Tanzi in the early 80s at the Mermaid theatre. For those who don't know it's about a girl who becomes a champion wrestler and the whole play is set in a wresting ring. I was amazed at how athletic she was including launching herself off the corner posts into the ring. Audience participation with booing and jeering was much encouraged and we really enjoyed it. Things are looking up here as I've just realised that there is rugby to watch tonight and of course the 6 Nations starts tomorrow. There is a distinct possibility that this news will not be welcomed by the other occupant of the house. Time to pour another glass of vin rouge and get to my seat ready for the kick off at 7.45.

Popular Post Ian Abel
POETS and wwwwaaaaaaaa.... Very late checking in, almost tomorrow already!! Spent much of last evening until 9:30PM and a lot of first thing, sorting out a panicked Long Island client - rushing to get the December financials to a board meeting this morning. Only problem was, some maniac posted a bunch of journal entries to NEW accounts that aren't covered in the reports - panic call to yours truly to work the new data into the report! Will definitely POE today, as it's now quiet, meaning the reports must be the way they want them! Here's hoping On the buqqer me it's cold front, -16 first thing, -13 now, the high expected for the day, and -24 overnight. Light breeze making it a tad colder still! Hope the weekend starts well for all - we're probably NOT venturing outside for a couple of days. Edited February 5, 2021 by Ian Abel

RMweb Premium Popular Post TheQ Posted February 5, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted February 5, 2021 There are several identical books to those on il Dottore's shelves less than 6 ft from me. These here are less accessibly in piles, till more shelves are built.. I have the total attention of Ben the hopeful Collie at the moment, my water of life is being accompanied by some mature red Leicester..he likes cheese but only gets a tiny piece.. The errant trailer board lights turned up after their tour of Essex. Just a pair of white foreward, red aftwards LEDs still to come.. When driving down the industrial estate rd, it was noticeable every one of the parked up lorries had a pair of a range of light clusters on the back, that are all are available from china, via Amazon or Ebay. It's certain the vehicle manufacturers charge a lot more for those clusters than china... I've also noticed Amazon primes available parts are more expensive, than identical parts from amazon not via prime. So you are paying twice for the privilege of getting things tomorrow.. Since you can often get delivery tomorrow via Amazon by paying extra anyway, it's not really much of a benefit from prime. Dire warnings of Beast from the East 2, for this weekend.. We might get a whole 4 inches of snow.. Water of life has run dry, cheese has gone Gromit, Ben has had his tiny piece and is now snoring. Time to select a book from the piles to re read... 17

My over the road neighbour who is a builder delivered some bags of de-icing salt today in anticipation of needing to keep our path and doorsteps ice free when the nasty weekend weather arrives. He is very concerned about his elderly neighbours (which seems to include me) falling. Last time we had significant snow here I was out helping him clear the road. Fortunately we haven’t got to go anywhere for the weekend or for a few days afterwards. Tony 18

It seems that in previous meetings the chair has been unwilling to let people speak so some members had complained. In this meeting Zoom seemed to be useful in removing him - quite right because of the way he was bullying. The vc then took the same attitude ... respect and willingness to listen probably enabled some business to be completed to at least if the meeting became inquorate some concrete proposals for the next meeting ... with the new chair or ... will be interesting to see what happens at the next meeting. The lady was present as part of a higher authority to monitor the effectiveness ... probably because someone had complained. Popular Post Erichill16
Evening All, Not a bad day today, steak pie and roast potatoes for tea follows by SWMBOs coffee cake, very nice. Sorry Polybear, coffee cake much better than lemon drizzle.Finished the VAT return but before I submit it I just want to look at it again, make sure there’s no obvious errors. Got Sydney for another sleepover ,he’s laid next to me sleeping, farting! Regarding the accountants visit, I thought I’d had a bad few months, well I haven’t in comparison to him. He’s a nice lad and he deserves better. Over the years I’ve got to know him quite well and I’m tempted to give him a call over the weekend, I really don’t know how well off he is for friends. Dont know what’s on the agenda for tomorrow but Sydney’s needs will be the priority followed by the football at 3.00. Keep sane and safe, goodnight, Robert 20 1

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted February 5, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 5, 2021 Evening all from Estuary-Land. Had a call from my brother earlier this evening. He had his jab yesterday when he went in for his thrice weekly oil change (dialysis). He told me that you can't even feel the needle going in as they use a micro needle. Tony mentioning rock salt reminded me that I have some in the garage but very little but then as I will not be going out except for my jab I hope I have enough. Tea is poured and now to tackle Farcebook, be back later.

RMweb Premium Popular Post BSW01 Posted February 6, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted February 6, 2021 Good evening everyone After returning from both of my shopping trips this morning, I’ve not done any physical work at all. However, I haven’t been idle, I’ve been busy at the drawing board and managed to get most of the helix drawn up. All that’s left to do now is the entry and exit roads sorted and then that lot can be filed away with the rest of the plans. The helix will is series of dodecahedrons, (12 sided), stacked above each other. This will produce very little waste and be the most efficient way of using a sheet of plywood. This evening we sat down after and watched a bit of recorded TV before catching up on the French crime drama that we’ve been watching on the BBC’s I player service. We’re now half way through series 7, when has finished we’ll start on the final series which we are recording as it’s currently being shown on BBC4. We’ve seen this series before, when it was first shown on BBC4 a couple of years ago, but we hadn’t seen the previous series and it makes a lot more sense of what’s happening now, knowing what had happened previously.
