If buying a new car now and you want to have your personal plate on the new car the first thing you have to do is put the current car "on retention". This can be done online at which time the DVLA will issue you with a new local age-related number. You then have to get a new number plate made and put that on the car. DVLA will then send a new V5C Registration Certificate showing the new number as well as the V778 Retention Document for the personal plate. In my case I then went off to the local M-B dealership with the above documents and they made the new plate and put in on the current car and arranged to have the new car registered and delivered with the personal plate. Soon after that DVLA sends a new V5C for the new car. Compared to what is was when I first got the personal plate the current transfer procedures are a doddle most of which can be done online. Keith Mine is a 2013 car on a 63 plate and I'm the second owner. The change from the personal plate presumably happened in 2018, which is when I got it. RMweb Gold Popular Post grandadbob Posted January 18, 2021 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted January 18, 2021 Evenin' each, One of my earliest memories is when I was about three I can remember my dad replacing some wall tiles in the bathroom. Quite funny really as that's the only DIY job I can ever remember him doing, he always got somebody in to do stuff. He did love gardening though and spent hours working out there. I've never had any problems with BT and been with them forever. Got everything with them - landline, broadband (good speed) , BT mobile, BT TV and BT Sport. Aching a bit after this morning's walk but currently enjoying a rather nice Shiraz.
Popular Post leopardml2341
Evenin'all! Editor retained the text again..... My earliest memory is seeing my sister trying to sit up in her pram. She's 18 months younger than me, so I guess I would've been about 2yrs? About to settle down to watching an evening of TV quiz programs, (Mastermind, Only Connect* and University Challenge). * Not only for the quiz element 'til later. 19

Here unless it states “fulfilled by Amazon “ it could turn up by a variety of carriers. The expected dates are usually long in order to give them more time before Amazon complain for you. The reverse happens sometimes too, I ordered some paint from eBay and it arrived as a “gift” from the retailers Amazon store. 16 1

I see five more covidiots got 4 weeks chokey here today, including two who rolled their car on the mountain road so putting emergency crews at risk. Otherwise 4 new cases, 2 returners and 2 people who were already isolating as they had had a high risk contract, so no community transmission. 20
RMweb Premium Popular Post PhilJ W Posted January 18, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted January 18, 2021 Evening all from Estuary-Land. Finally got my friends e-mail address so now to twist his arm into joining RMweb. He depends on his young lad to show him what to do though but thats not a problem. His lad is Jenny Kirks number one fan, he watches her You Tube films on his X-box. Time to put the kettle on and then tackle Farcebook which is running dead slow atm. 21

Someone bought them for us and SWMBO doesn’t like them and I can’t eat them. Waiting for a visitor to come and finish them off but that seems unlikely due to virus. They are one of my favourites and they look forlornly at me every time I go into the cupboard, ‘eat me, eat me’ but I resist.. No mint jelly though. 1

RMweb Premium Popular Post BSW01 Posted January 19, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted January 19, 2021 Good evening everyone The weather stayed dry for most of the day, but it started to rain around 7 o’clock this evening and it’s been at it ever since. Changing form heavy showers to light rain and then to heavy back again. We are currently experiencing a bit of a lull. Apart from this morning’s Sainsbury’s Grand Prix, I’ve done absolutely bu99er awl! After dinner, I sat on the sofa and watched the second episode of ‘The Art Of Drumming’. Like yesterday, Sheila decided to sit in the kitchen and read, whilst I watched the program alone. I’ll have to confess that not having to answer questions like who’s he, what’s he doing that for etc was quite nice. But quite frankly HOW anyone can sit on their @rse all day and watch TV, completely escapes me! If it wasn’t for the fact that the program was of great interest to me, I’d have been bored sh!tless just watching the rubbish that’s put on during the day. I’ll be glad when my back stops telling me it hurts and I can get on with other stuff. Speaking of my back, it seems a bit better this evening, so another day of taking painkillers and rest is on the cards for tomorrow. Tomorrow morning, I might do some artwork on the computer for the turntable control panel, to see how it compares to what I did yesterday. If I like what I do, I might print some decals and change it next weekend. 15

RMweb Premium Popular Post BR60103 Posted January 19, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted January 19, 2021 My reply box comes up with the last post where I quoted someone -- I think in this thread. House cleaning today counted as exercise, although I did a quick trip to the no-mail box. We are in some sort of lockdown, but with exceptions.* SWMBO is considering starting tomorrow going out for groceries. *As Mark Twain said of German. "There are more exceptions to the rule than instances of it." 14
Popular Post chrisf
Greetings one and all The other day I made a topical post on Twitter, alluding to the forthcoming departure of the President of the United States. I should have known better than to indulge in humour. The post has attracted no likes whatsoever. Perhaps the discerning twitterati have already endured the ploy of making a parody of “Nellie the Elephant” and yawned less than politely when they read my effort. Never mind, folks. I dare say I will get over it. It appears that BT divides opinion. I have no need of TV or sport from BT and do not make the most extensive use of telephones, whether by landline or mobile. As with all conglomerates, there have been problems over the years. BT’s most serious sin occurred about six months ago when all my Sent e-mails suddenly disappeared. It was compounded by their sending my complaint to the wrong bit of BT where it languished until long after any hope of retrieving the missing e-mails had evaporated. I have never received any sort of explanation for this lapse, let alone one that is either satisfactory or convincing. There seems little point in moving to another company as I suspect that they are all as bad as each other. One point in their favour is that they have found a way of reducing my mobile phone bill while enhancing my service. I can’t help wondering what the catch is. There must be another fodder run today. Once it is accomplished there is more mucking-out to be done. The sound of a bale of comics that I am never likely to read landing heavily in the recycling bin is strangely satisfying. Best wishes to all Chris 17
