Popular Post Andrew P
Having just seen Mike / @The Stationmaster breakfast, I had almost the same for Lunch, even though I'm not supposed to. Eggs, Bacon, Mushrooms, Beans, and Bread, and a glass of fresh Orange Juice. That will be my last NAUGHTY meal for a while. I had a call from my Doctors yesterday to say they want / NEED to do a fasting Blood Test on the 28th, for Cholesterol, Diabetic, Kidneys and some other bits that are floating around under my skin. Looks like the man who hates needles is in for a bad time over the coming weeks what with the Blood Test and NOT ONE but TWO Covid injections. I'll take some cushions to put on the floor for a soft landing when I faint. Roll on the 29th, for some real food again. simontaylor484
Still snowing here. Although smaller flakes than earlier. Half of the battle was actually getting access to the fuse box you had to be a contortionist

Popular Post Ian Abel
Welcome @Foden don't believe all you hear about ERs, only some of them are crazy, the rest of us are just mad May seem a little "late" from me but I'm one of the ERs located on the left-hand side of the pond, so everyone's usually into their afternoon tea before I manage to stick my head up! @Kelly hang in there, you know we're here for you and all the other ERs in good and less good times. Moaning all, BINs out and serviced early this week... Limited excitement yesterday again. However I'm pleased to report we collectively have witness history with the orange-idiot becoming the only president to be impeached TWICE On the "client" front, it's that time again, and my access to the VPN expired. This time VERY quickly restored by the head of Finance, followed by a note from him that he's already marked his calendar for April 10th., to tell IT to "JUST RENEW IT" I'm more convinced than ever that if/when I actually return in person I'll discover the entire IT department has been taken over/replaced by the cast of "The IT Crowd" A balmy -1 here first thing and snowing (not that excuse for snow that @Barry(Baz)) sees we're expecting plowable amount into late tomorrow according to the seaweed twirlers. It's an inexact science predicting the amount so the range for today-tomorrow is currently 4-10 inches! Who knows, but I'll provide updates Carry on - may the farce be with you. RMweb Gold Popular Post Tony_S Posted January 14, 2021 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted January 14, 2021 (edited) We have just received a warning for snow until 10am on Friday. However I think that is because we have been put in with the rest of the East. I suspect we may get some sleety showers. I think the Fiesta will be perfectly adequate to cope with tomorrow’s weather when Aditi delivers me for her echocardiogram at Southend Hospital. I did wonder if the appointment would be postponed but I am glad iit is going ahead as it affects the next stage of my heart treatment (either all done or still need more medication). RMweb Premium TheQ Posted January 14, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 14, 2021 One joy of a real land rover is the fuse box, just in front of the gear lever, with pretty pictures on the inside, to tell you which is which.. Still raining here, in Wroxham I drove through the river, which is now extending over the car park, and onto the road. It's only about 1/2 inch deep on most of the road. 6

There are 155 fuse sockets , not all occupied , just most of them. I didn’t go out and count them, I looked online. What was interesting is that there is a fourth fuse box I didn’t know about, next to the spare wheel well. Tony 16 5
simontaylor484
The peugeot fuseboxes were well diagrammed in the owners manual it was in the front passenger footwell iirc not in an easy position. There were at least 2 more fuseboxes in the engine compartment 15

My bus lorry with seats was a LEYLAND A friend of mine, sadly no longer with us had what was the ultimate in British coaches. An AEC Reliance with an AH760 engine, ZF six speed gearbox and Eaton two speed rear axle. Its Duple body had initially 2+1 seating for continental tours but as he used it for more local work he had it converted to the more usual arrangement. It could certainly move very quickly and many a time gave boy racers a bit of a shock. 14 3

I also made my own tea, a microwave spaghetti bolognese which I embellished with a small amount of grated cheese, my signature dish. Unfortunately I can’t send a picture as it’s all gone, washed down with a giant bottle of Pironi. 11 5

When I was very young (and lived in Glasgow!), we used to go to visit my gran every Saturday. She would make a dumpling as dessert for tea, and we would eat it with a dollop of cream. We would usually get the uneaten part of it to take home, and that would appear as part of our fried breakfast on Sunday morning. I had no problem with that! Birthday ‘cakes’ were also dumplings, with silver thruppenies and one half-crown, wrapped in grease-proof paper, buried in them.
