RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted October 29, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 29, 2020 Not that I am complaining - far from it - but I have just noticed a total absence of adverts from my page. Popular Post Ian Abel
Happy Birthday Jamie BIN day, as usual those items have been successfully handled/emptied by the convoy of trucks! Not much to report from here, although being "in the thick of it" re: a looming farce election, we will be pre-emptively doing a little extra shopping today and tomorrow in case there are some restrictions next week due to "unrest"! Mixed feelings about the arsewipe-in-chief going quietly into the night; 1) He indicates he'll possibly disagree/not be particularly willing to leave if he has to - a first in US political history and hardly capable of standing up in court (Supreme etc.!!) 2) Much of the armed forces apparently despise him anyway so I expect even if #1 is the action, he's likely to have a pretty significant ESCORT from the building if needed. 3) He's such a whimp/weasel anyway I expect as with everything he does, he's "all mouth and trousers", but who knows! Given "we've rounded the corner" with COVID according to sh!t-for-brains, I'm surprised to see the daily totals here skyrocketing - obviously fake news We're likely to see some alarmingly increasing trends in the next few days and weeks it seems, but still no clear message from anything but local governments, which is 99% of the problem. We're personally in a decent locale for masks/social distancing rules but as stated before given we have adjacent states that give less than 2 sh!ts about anyone but themselves, it's getting dangerously worse and we're personally self-isolating as much as we can for the foreseeable future I think. Weather improving here which won't actually HELP the current situation as folks will be more inclined to congregate I fear. -1 and overcast heading for a high of 3, but highs around 15-16 next week from Tuesday on for a few days. Be safe. Edited October 29, 2020 by Ian Abel 1 1

Some years ago, before the university expanded in sites, there was a debate about our offices being used for staff from the Faculty of Health. There was nowhere else for us (in Computing) to go. I was heard saying that I wouldn't mind sharing an office with a couple of nurses. 1
Popular Post Sir TophamHatt
Been getting bad headaches recently. Need to monitor that, although may be stress related, or a lack / slowing down of caffine. In other news, had a bout of hiccups on the way to work - longest I have ever remembered having at about 15 mins. Stopped off at the Costa Coffee drive thru to get a cold drink (coca cola) to try and get rid of the hiccups but felt I should order something hot. Got to the paying bit and the hiccups had gone! Still paid and drive off. The hot chocolate was really quite nice. So much so, I may be visiting again in the future. Damn. 12

RMweb Premium Popular Post The White Rabbit Posted October 29, 2020 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted October 29, 2020 Happy Birthday to Jamie. Sadly, that's been about the best news all day. The chuckitdarn was interrupted by a cloudburst, so the seasonal duckpond in the back garden's back. Some medical results back for the Chief Acolyte - and prompting an urgent round of further tests. My get up and go is also playing hide and seek. And that's before we get to what's been happening outside the front gate. Hiccups - my cure was lying on my front on the floor for a few minutes. It's OK at home but you get some funny looks on the bus... 6 1 1
RMweb Premium Popular Post Barry O Posted October 29, 2020 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted October 29, 2020 guess what.. I found my get up and go! It was hiding under my my pea and mint fritter at tea time.. cunning little so and so.... So I decided to try to fill in my tax return...I may need a lie down..... Listening to our illustrious local leaders they have delayed the Tier 3 Lockdown to clarify how much money they will be getting to fritter away .. We should be in a full lockdown here with figures in Leeds and Bradford very, very high...as in 400+ per 100,000 and it doesn't start till Monday.. yer wot! I have my eye laser op on Sunday.. they rang today to check.. if it is like the first one (on one eye only this is on both) I may need some help returning to her indoors' car as she isn't allowed in. Time to go and get the rest of the paperwork for my tax return.. I will get it sorted.. hopefully I may not have to do this next year as the house we were renting out has been sold..yipppeeedddooo! A quick question though - How many of us are seeing neighbours selling homes and moving elsewhere at the moment? Our current total is 4... might just be a hint that we should be moving...
