Afternoon and what a wet day it has been but sun is out at present.

 

Been out to a model shop (mainly kits but a tiny bit of trains) in Dorking to get Tamiya black which is generally not available online  but as the shop reopened today, they had quite a few but I dint clear them out. One bottle for me and two for a fiend that I dropped off later in the morning. Whilst out I forgot to switch off the rolling road in the shed. EXE has now had a really long run in of over two hours and was still running when I got back in there.

To add a bit of doom and gloom to the jovial proceedings, one of the Obergrumpenfuhrer's relatives is a medico in N Wales, and he is messaging that there are 14 new cases of C 19 reported on Anglesey.  This week the number of cases there have doubled. (39 to 81).  

 

Whilst the media is making a big fuss that 1/3 of NHS trusts in England have recorded no fatalities this week it means that 2/3 have and that areas like Anglesey, which have been well locked down have had a doubling of  known cases within a week, and probably many more not yet reported.

 

The Anglesey figures may only be small overall, but the percentage rise of 50% only goes to show that it's still out there and we should still be vigilant.

Very consistent with what I see in the US. We've seen much the same thing here in Oregon.

 

It's not limited to smaller states. Very large sunbelt states like Florida, Arizona and Texas set record totals of new diagnoses two days ago.

A far too exciting day for me today! I was sat on the bed chatting to my wife when I got a sharp pain in my chest and felt rather faint. Rolled off the bed and didn't feel much better lying on the floor! My wife phoned for an ambulance and they arrived quickly. They tested me at home and said that while the readings were all OK, they wanted to take me to St George's Hospital for further investigation.

Now I have had a second ECG and a blood test so I am waiting for the results and to see a doctor. Thankfully I picked up the latest BRM on my way out of the flat so the wait is not too bad. 

Feeling a lot better now but still feels as if I have something pushing on my chest so just have to hope it is nothing serious.

I've had no internettie webbie thingy since the 14th May when we moved down Souf, but now that I'm back, I can see that there is far to much for me to catch up on, and read through with over a Months postings.

SO, all I can do is say a general commiserations and congratulations where needed, and I hope I've not missed any major good or otherwise events in my absence from Planet Earth etc.

Good evening and a chance to try and unwind from another manic day at the office. My boss returned from WFH on Monday along with another manager; one of my co-conspirators for the last 12 weeks is now our door security and the other (there were just 3 of us during those weeks 90% of the time) was off today in lieu of guarding the door on Saturday leaving just 1 and 3 halves to field the calls. The glass of Merlot is having a calming effect as I write!
