Using the phone to connect directly to this site one goes to the usual "choose files" link below the reply pane which offers the option to take a new photo for immediate upload. My Samsung Galaxy (Android) 'phone has an editing facility built into the 'Gallery' application. (I've no idea if this is natively Android, or a Samsung enhancement.) The basic image manipulation functions don't permit mirroring but There is an "Open in Photo Editor Pro" option that permits mirroring under the 'transform' tab. 5 1

To late Pete, haha, I succumbed this afternoon, . I went on line to order one from my Local Guitar Shop and the owner phoned me to say he was in the shop dealing with on line orders and did I want it delivered on his way home? Well of course. It will have the scratch plate changed for a white one, and it's quite good. The Daffers Blue Classic 60's Vibe Jazz should be here next week as well.
Popular Post Simon G
Just seen the latest CV stats, and it appears that Cumbria has the highest rates outside London. Despite this people still keep trying to come to the Lakes for Easter. More gardening done today with carrot seeds planted. Mrs G wanted me to move a bush that had self seeded, and is now about 4 feet high. After a brief attempt to dig it out, it became clear to me that either the garden fork or me was going to break before the bush came out, so it is still in its original position! I may try again when we get some rain and the ground is softer. Goodnight all.

RMweb Premium Popular Post PhilJ W Posted April 10, 2020 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted April 10, 2020 Evening all from Estuary-Land. Spent a little time sorting out my modelling 'bits' box. It looks as if I can create a few structures out of the bits of plastic kits I have accumulated over the years. I have a few odd plywood and MDF offcuts so I might make a diorama or two.

Hate the things and I know nothing about them. Hopefully it won't come to that but if it gets bad enough here I might have to. Andy you don't need my 'free' advice. I doubt it would come to that, even understanding the potential belligerence, single mindedness and the veneration of Charlton Heston of some of your neighbours. Without extensive, reinforced drill, loading, managing the safety, aiming, firing, etc over and over again, few of them are any use in an emergency where you will need the 'muscle memory' of the repetition for them to have any useful effect. Without drilling, anything with a short barrel (unless it has often illegal scatter shot) will be inaccurate and a long barrel is unwieldy at close range in a home defence scenarios. Then there's the whole storage question. Locked and unloaded is the right answer to minimize accident but slows an emergency response. I'm glad that I live amongst people who value the social compact. Maybe I'll change my mind if after the earthquake chaos reigns and armed marauders (a la Mad Max) looking for petrol, food and water roam the streets. The US Army Corps of Engineers will be building pontoon bridges so I expect (and would welcome) a large military presence if things came to that. I am proud of many years ago convincing someone to turn in a firearm they had for 'protection'. This individual later deliberately took too many sleeping pills but was rescued by their partner. Had the firearm still been in the house, the outcome could have been different.

RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted April 10, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 10, 2020 Good evening everyone Well the sun has been shining all day, I did spend a bit of time outside, mainly cleaning the workshop windows, as they’ve been opened for the first time this year. I also completed the temporary fascia for the turntable control board. I also experimented with a small micro switch to see how shallow a dip I can get away with without the stitch stricken sticking. This is in case the Hall effect switches prove to have too much of an operating area. Once I’d packed up, I brought the fascia inside and wired it all up, it has not yet been tested, as I want to double check the wiring before I apply power. I found a variable voltage PSU in the workshop this afternoon, so that came in as well and I tested it on the turntable motor. It was powerful enough to operate it, but at 3.5V it was still a little too fast, so I added a couple of diodes in series (each diode will reduce the voltage by approx 1.2V) and had it running at somewhere around 1.2V, and it ran smoothly and quietly. I then did some on line research on intensifying and reducing the magnetic fields operating area. It turns out that the solution might be as simple as making a steel cone, the diameter of the magnet and fitting it to the front of the magnet. So I’ll make a small cone tomorrow and try it out later. The evening was rounded off with a nice bottle bottle of merlot. Goodnight all

It's wise of you to be thinking about the Hall effect switches being not precise enough to align the table to the outlet tracks. I had a university project using them and they were finicky, but I was counting frequency rather than using them for positioning. They weren't the biggest problem - that was processor bandwidth with the RTOS and CPU combination. 32 minutes ago, BSW01 said: I then did some on line research on intensifying and reducing the magnetic fields operating area. The other option is to do some signal conditioning on the Hall sensor output - tweaking the threshold voltage to narrow the physical range where it registers "on". 8 4

RMweb Premium Popular Post TheQ Posted April 11, 2020 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted April 11, 2020 Mooring awl inner Temple Hare, As for whether it's good I have yet to see, 5.5hours sleep so far I'll try for more shortly, Ben the snoring Collie is happily asleep, letting out tiny woofs occasionally. I've never been that interested in music, having limited access to it in my teenage years probably has something to do with it. Plans for today, do some surgery on a section of the inherited layout I'm retaining. I took lots of 1.5 inch brass screws out yesterday and..... Nothing... it had been very securely glued and screwed. Then I wanted to remove the softboard top.... That has been nailed as well... So today it's out with the jigsaw with a metal cutting blade as trying to remove the nails would destroy the top I want to keep. Other than that, mowing is required, I didn't get round to it yesterday, But the weather is due to change tomorrow.. Time to zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Popular Post chrisf
Greetings one and all There were some welcome distractions on TV yesterday – “The Lavender Hill Mob” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Together these were sufficient to curtail my m*d*ll*ng, but not entirely prevent it. Some time was spent on food preparation but I shall still need to do a fodder run today since a dish based on beef mince is hardly the stuff of which Sunday lunch is made. It is nice to be able to respond on points raised by others on the subject of music. Southern42, I did not get to book my ticket for the Calan concert at Kings Place before it was cancelled but I have bought a copy of their new CD and await its arrival eagerly. Petethemole, I agree that Natalie was talking about Davy Spillane. It could easily be thirty years since I saw him at Sidmouth. Natalie, I’m not quite sure that music is my haven but it plays an important part in my life and can do some strange things to me. Being reduced to tears is not uncommon. My taste tilts towards the obscure and it will be no surprise that I was an early disciple of John Peel. I am always on the lookout for music that is new to me but I do have some favourite performers and more than a slight willingness to take a punt on something unfamiliar. Most of my listening is done in the car on the way to or from some event or other. In these troubled times there are no events and the car is lucky to manage four miles a week, barely enough for two tracks. One day of the trip to Dublin that I had to abort and a scary quantity of euros would have been spent in Claddagh Records. Who knows what I would have found? I can only guess what the 30+ CDs that I would have brought home from Sidmouth might have been. I write this after yet another night of intermittent slumber. Reading myself to sleep often works well, the latest weapon in that battle being the book by David Laws on the coalition government 2010-15, but all too frequently, come 3 am or even earlier, the bedside radio is turned on again in the hope that the good people who appear on phone-in programmes will send me back to sleep. I suspect that a poor sleeping pattern is an indication of depression. Oh joy. Best wishes to all Chris 1
