Robert
Morning All, A belated Happy Birthday Dave - the virtual cream cake was delicious. Hmmm! There are some pretty clear skies here too. We had a lovely sunrise this morning. TGIF! Have a good day everyone...
RMweb Gold SouthernRegionSteam Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2011 Morning all! Belated happy birthday to you Dave Well today I'll be setting up down the village hall. The layout still isn't finished though! But it's not far off - the main thing to complete is the hangar. Trackwork works fine and the scenics are pretty much finished... Sorry to Dominik - I know I still haven't replied to your PM, it's been fair to say I have been rather busy lately!

RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2011 Morning all. Rather dull here but not too cool today. I'll be sorting out some trains today for the NMRA event tomorrow. Tony
RMweb Premium skipepsi Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 29, 2011 Morning all, looking forward to building up my shed but not the felting. Weather looks a bit iffy the sky is the wrong colour.
DDolfelin
"the shuttle should take a similar path tomorrow" Agreed. No reply from Don as yet.
RMweb Gold BoD Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2011 Morning all Even the crossword this morning is full of references to that bloomin wedding. I'm off out for a long walk.
DDolfelin
Don't forget to carry a little paper flag and polish your shoes, BoD.

DDolfelin
I hope Gordon doesn't get too excited and cause a relapse. News I have missed this morning (not without effort): World watches as William weds Kate Prince William: "I'm worried about the campers" Royal couple to brave elements Kate waves to crowds outside hotel Queen meets Royal wedding guests Wartski creates Kate's wedding ring
RMweb Premium eldavo Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 29, 2011 Mwning ewl, Bit cloowdy ere. Sorry talking with my mouth full of virtual cream cake. Belated Happys Dave. For some reason my suggestion that I go and play golf this morning with the lads didn't go down well with the staff who is as we speak warming up the TV. Just have to hope the world returns to normal in an hour or two so I can escape to the shed. Have a good one all. Cheers Dave
RMweb Gold PhilH Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2011 An opposite view - I've missed the hats, frocks and shoes bit but am now watching the wedding (never intended to). If there is one thing this country does well it's a big occasion like this. Good luck to them both, it's a brilliant spectacle.
RMweb Premium skipepsi Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 29, 2011 Watched more than I expected to while the Timbercare dried. The shed assembly starts now.
DDolfelin
Probably a sudden boost for our disfunctional ruling family. At least they look more normal than some of the others. Make a nice, likeable couple. I thought her sisters were trim, too. Good luck to them.
RMweb Gold BoD Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2011 I've missed the hats, frocks and shoes bit Now that surprises me. I've always had you down as a hats, frocks and shoes sort of bloke.
RMweb Gold PhilH Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2011 Now that surprises me. I've always had you down as a hats, frocks and shoes sort of bloke. I specifically asked you not to tell anyone else about that
gordon s
I have to say lads, I've just watched the wedding from beginning to end and found the whole show a wonderful spectacle that only the Brits could do. Catherine looked stunning and the whole ceremony was just perfect. Made me yearn for a world where everyone enbraced some of the principles spoken about in the address. All in all it was perfectly planned and everything went without a hitch. Truly, a wonderful day....

Totally agree Gordon - I was cynical as anything to start with but as it all unfolded I found myself captivated by it.
MooUK
I've been keeping an eye on Endeavour, not any wedding shenanigans. Just under four hours to scheduled launch at the time I'm writing this...
RMweb Gold BoD Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2011 I was impressed by the way the RAF said they would flypast at 1:30 and they flew past at ........... 1:30:00.

RMweb Premium eldavo Posted April 29, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 29, 2011 Can't imagine why Harry looked so chuffed escorting a bridesmaid! Yummy yummy. At least this country is still able to put on a spectacle of pomp and ceremony. Do we have to give the jets back to the French now and rely on the Battle of Britain memorial flight for our air defences? Cheers Dave
sixoh8sixoh
Unfortunately Endeavour's launch has been postponed by at least 72 hours. Have seen little bits of the wedding as I've been outside putting up fencing. Catherine did look very pretty. Not sure why they're Duke and Duchess of Cambridge... King and Queen of the Kingdom of Fife would have been more appropriate!
RMweb Premium NGT6 1315 Posted April 30, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 30, 2011 Morning all... Slightly windy outside and I guess I'll need another few cups of coffee to be awake. Be back later... Cheers!
RMweb Gold BoD Posted April 30, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 30, 2011 Good morning all.... ......and what a beautiful morning it is. Went for a (short) walk along the seafront earlier and stood and just watched the sun rise over the sea. A sight that never fails to amaze me no matter how many times I see it. Probably the last time I will do that this year. The sun is starting to get up too early for my liking.
