Tomorrow i'll have to go through it again and expand the repeated "completed" into long sentences of meaningless words, that no one reads.. But at least the management can see on their activity boxes I've started.. Outline plans for the tool boxes have been completed (it's that word again) blank cut plywood will be bought shortly, along with lengths of timber for framing and drawer runners.. The toolboxes will be 2 ft long 1 ft wide, and a height to be determined once all the drawers are worked out., probably about 18 inches when completed.. The working day is almost completed, bye for now... 6 1

What????? They are there, they run, they are accessing the old database that is no longer being updated, what part of that don't they understand? Oh well, I'm taking most of today off, so won't be bothered until Monday, by which time I'm sure the Finance department will be in a frenzy... Went to see "Ford vs Ferrari" yesterday, I enjoyed it, but mixed results for everyone else, then out to dinner. Started to snow about 9PM View out of the office window as of now; Snow plowing service arrived and have cleared the driveway/paths - yay, well worth the money, as I sit and watch with a cuppa -1 first thing and about 5 inches of snow, blowing about 40mph, but not considered blizzard yet, more snow later today high of ZERO. RMweb Premium Popular Post Barry O Posted November 27, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted November 27, 2019 Jamie and I met, consumed coffee, set the world to rights and headed into the rest of the shopping centre of Leeds. I turned into the personal shopper of youngest Herbert for a while. Now, i hate Christmas (too many family related memories of times in the past) bit I totally loathe Christmas Shopping. Mine is now complete. Black Friday..what a joke. Sales prices are the same as they were before half term. Her indoors suggested we should get a new TV. The one I liked had zero, nothing, nowt off its price..Pah! Off to catch up with unspecified jobs for her indoors. Baz 5

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted November 27, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 27, 2019 Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. As I live on my own I allways carry a spare front door key. However when I changed upon returning from the NEC on Sunday I couldn't find it. So today I had another cut so whats the chances of it turning up right under my nose? Club night tonight but before I go there I have to go to the sorting office to collect a parcel. I have a postal vote and the voting papers arrived this morning and will be filled in and returned forthwith.
RMweb Premium Popular Post Gwiwer Posted November 27, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted November 27, 2019 Afternoon All, A rather better day, weather-wise, than forecast with some sun and a distinctly comfortable feel about the temperature as well. The thermals and thick jumper stayed at home. I might have wished for the same myself. During the shift it became apparent that a young lady was in extreme distress on the adjacent platform, lying on the ground crying in pain. Our station medics attended. An ambulance crew attended. The British Transport Police and all the duty managers attended. That's when you know something fairly serious is in progress. The screens were hastily brought and the platform closed. I assumed the worst. After quite some time the casualty was seen to have been moved from lying on the ground to propped up against a bench and was shortly afterwards removed by the ambulance crew and sirens were heard receding into the distance. Cleaners were required. The BTP were seen asking questions. The poor young lady had, it seems, suffered extreme distress during the mid-stages of a pregnancy and was in need of very urgent medical intervention. Distressing for all of us with any involvement and all in a day's work. In brighter news SWMBO suffered more pain and discomfort overnight but has managed a near-full day back at work and has come home quite bright and breezy. Things continue to progress in largely the correct direction. She does however find herself caught in a loop regarding paperwork. Her GP has said all along that the hospital would provide certification for her absence from work. They didn't. They referred her back to the GP. The GP again referred her to the hospital as they had administered treatment and oversaw her post-operative recovery. Again today the hospital has referred her back to the GP ......... and until she has a certificate she cannot get her several weeks-worth of SSP. As she has recently arrived home I now need to pay her some attention and leave the computer alone. See you later. Best wishes one and all. 3

Or is this a function of being an old and "only dog"? My own experience of dog feeding involved a Lab who would not turn down almost anything carbon-based. (Actually there was something vegetable(?) she wouldn't touch but I can't remember what it was.) Nice idea to double translate your Word file. Of course you know the risks with limited production (beta) code. I loved using Microsoft Word (on a Mac) 27 years ago. I was quite proficient with many publishing features. With the major structural changes made years ago (with the introduction of the ribbon) my proficiency dropped precipitously. In my opinion it continues to get worse with all the usability features and unfixed bugs*. I manage to get by but end up wasting a lot of time fixing things. Version to version default changes to styles, including normal and templates are also frustrating. * Like linking to a heading - which actually links to the previous page in the resulting PDF if the heading falls immediately after a page break. Linking to a bookmark works properly. 12 1

They were offered individually and unpackaged in the butcher's display case. They looked very good - bright colouring and the appearance of freshly made. The company website suggests they are "handmade". They certainly did not look mass produced. Surprisingly perhaps it is bright and sunny here at the moment, hope it lasts. I remember the car shows from the 70's when the models were scantily dressed, thats if they were dressed at all. Though at a model railway exhibition today that would probably cause quite a few heart attacks. A few years ago the O Gauge Guild Stand at Warley had 2 very attractive young ladies helping out. Soneone commented about the 'totty' on the Warley thread. I had to chip in to say, "tone it down" as they were the daughters of one of the stand staff. However their mother was very proud when I told her what a good impression her girls had made. Anyway I'm back home after a busy day. Coffee and world putting to rights with Baz. Then sone shopping. My lunchtime pint was cancelled. My ex colleague runs the Leeds Elections office and apparently they had been absolutely inundated with registration requests. So quick ly ch then off to Rachel's to take the parts of a sofa to the tip and a quick cuddle with Emily. Then more shopping, a quick call in to see the step dragon in law, then on for a very nice plateful of stew and dumplings with no 2 son (Paul) and the couple who are helping him out. Back home now. I need to get the bus at 07.12 tomorrow before the delights of a 'Zoomer' tomorrow. Bill I will have a rucksack with me. Coombe Barton
Kerry has never been a picky eater - it's age. She was skin and bone when rescued. Now she can't see very well and is hand fed - some things she likes, some things not and it varies day to day. I will be consulting the vet. The difference with Word and Pages is that Pages acts like a DTP program, holding images in place on the page and flowing the text round them. Word holds the images as part of the flow of text. I think that that is where the problem lies. There are advantages and disadvantages with both approaches. 11 2

leopardml2341
^^^ yup, I did something similar a few years ago, but added phrases to a number of such reports which serially added up to a story........ It really did incense me, but do you know what I don't care anymore, if anyone is prepared to approve a report for publication without reading it then let 'em get in with it. The can is clearly theirs to carry. Rant over, eyes closed, g'night folks! 10

Popular Post brianusa
Never was big on TG. If you weren't raised with the holiday, it doesn't mean so much, so roast beef for dinner tomorrow. Christmas is more traditional for us, so half a turkey breast with all the trimmings, Brussels sprouts, roast spuds, pud, mince pies and a little libation, followed by very little!
