I had never heard about barberries before today. However they were mentioned in an Iranian recipe on my Twitter timeline this morning.

update/edit
Barberry appears to be Berberis. I haven’t seen any berries on our shrubs though!

I bought some dried barberries  in Waitrose a while back to use in a Persian (Iranian) recipe. They are a little bit like small currants, but less sweet.

Noise........

Nothing quite sounds like a 400 cubic inch V8.

And my money is on the V8 lasting a lot longer than some highly tuned 3 cylinder turbo engine anyday....

Somebody has to go to the shop this morning as we've run out of a couple of things. I've suggested that I should stay in waiting for parcel/s as I'm probably the best person to deal with any problems arising thereof. Discussions are ongoing. :whistle:

You've lost.  You just haven't realised it yet....

We haven’t gone shopping or parcel collecting. The weather was “too nice” for such activities. I was requested to prune some plants that Aditi couldn’t reach even with the extendable loppers. I then went to the garage and re-riveted the veggie steamer handles. So now we will have two. That O level in bashing metal finally came in useful.

Back from the horsepiddle. Specialist creatively twisted my knee into some new and surprising origami shapes. Followed up by posing for some photography of the x-rayted variety. Vampirella was missed as this muppet managed to leave the bloody form on the kitchen counter. Technology saved the day when parking. Seems all but one of the pay & display machines were up the spout. The one working one had a massive queue. A couple of taps on the phone and I downloaded the (one of only a few I don't have already) parking app, paid, and left 20 people fuming at the machine. Only then did I discover the missing form. D'oh. Oh well a decent breakfast to compensate was enjoyed as I had 90 mins to kill.

Did some one mention knees..

I looked at some of the performance figures for large engined US cars and wondered why a smaller engine + turbo charger(s) isn’t the choice for things like the Mustang or Charger?  Is it just tradition or some engineering reason?
